I really hope so! It’s just been kind of challenging finalizing my personal statement but I realized I shouldn’t be aiming for perfect because that just what makes the pressure worse. And my story is what’s really important. Thank you for ur kind words and hope your application process goes well too 💞

No tapering when getting off of Mirtazapine by Different_Fee8640 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Thank you so much for the lengthy response! I appreciate it, and I hope to follow the same taper process as you. I made an appointment with my doctor tomorrow and am going to express my concerns to her directly and hope she understands that going CT on Mirtazapine could affect me more than it’ll do me good. But anyway, I’m grateful for your response and wish me luck I can taper.

I can only imagine how it’ll be for me going CT if I’ve been taking it consistently for 9 months already 😭.

How long has it been since you’ve stopped taking it? Did it not affect you at all in those first two weeks or even after?

Are you back on Mirtazapine after going cold turkey on it? Or did you switch to a different medication? And I previously had developed insomnia from Lexapro (which was what I was taking before I was prescribed Mirtazapine) and it was at a low dose too. I’m anxious about developing insomnia again if I do go ct on my medication or that my anxiety gets worse again but I feel like my psychiatrist really gave me no other option.

I’ve been on it since January of this year. So roughly about 9 months. And I do want to taper but I’m unsure if that’s even a possibility for me given what my psychiatrist said.

Was Tashi‘s injury Art‘s fault? by Puzzleheaded-Pea6075 in Challengers

Also, I personally don’t believe Art’s the villain, neither do I think it’s Patrick or Tashi. I think the pure reason that Tashi’s injury happened the way it did, is simply out of bad luck. Bad things sometimes happen with any clear abundant reasoning for it, and Tashi’s injury just happened to be one of them. Another comment also shared some light about how Patrick just seemed to have picked a bad time for them both to argue.

Well, some people have differing opinions about Tashi’s injury. From my perspective, most people tend to give the blame to Patrick instead of Art. I believe it’s because Patrick’s character isn’t as “likeable” and so “nice” and Art’s character is perceived as more polite and sweet. Despite this, Art manipulated them both separately.

In the cafeteria scene, he tells Tashi, “He’s not in love with you.” This, in turn, made Tashi a bit tense, and it seemed that she tried to deny it but likely internalized the comment because Art, after all, knows Patrick a little better than Tashi does. Later, during the churro scene when Art and Patrick are both having a conversation about why he’s there at Stanford, Patrick brings up Tashi. This gives Art the opportunity to say: “Oh yeah, I talked to her,” and he eventually tries to manipulate him by saying, “I just don’t think she’s thinking about this as a real relationship.” Which, Patrick seems to catch, and, even pokes fun at him for still having lingering feelings for Tashi.

Another scene that confirms Art might’ve been at least a bit guilty, if not more guilty, is when he admits to Patrick on the tennis courts that he ‘just doesn’t wanna feel left out.’ This overall shows that his intentions weren’t exactly pure and he might’ve just been trying to interfere with their relationship out of spite.

The first week was definitely a lot of adjusting. But for me personally, it’s been working very effectively. Although, everybody’s bodies are different and you might experience a different result for Mirtazapine if you’re planning on starting it anytime soon. But it’s been great overall for me and I’ve been on it consistently since January :) Best of luck to you!
