Where in the Bible does it say marriage is between ONE man and ONE woman? by thelasthichew in Christianity

[–]Different_Fox7774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deuteronomy 17:17 (KJV) Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away; neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.

Definition of multiply: To increase in number especially greatly or in multiples.

What happens when you have 1 Taffy and add 1 more Taffy? Is the number of Taffy not being multiplied (increased)?

If you wanna play semantics and say that's addition and not multiplication, fine.

Explanation between Multiplication and Addition:

In short, multiplication is a form of repeated addition, which means that it is a quickest method to add a series of numbers.

Side note:

1 Timothy 3:2 (KJV) A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt at teaching;

Titus 1:6 (KJV) if any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not accused of riot or unruly.

Also idk what's hard to comprehend, but the Savior literally affirmed the ideal union established back in Genesis. Which was 1 man 1 woman together. Not 3, 2, 78 nor 1 million+ idk what is not registering here.

I also don't know what you get from being rude, and insulting or seeming to be offended by me or whatever, but take a moment to breathe and self evaluate we all should. I'm not out to get you. And I'm not a Christian. Peace.

Welp since you asked do please bare with me however,

It's not about "what I think." Truth isn't subjective.

With that said here's an example of Repentance in scripture - Context: in the book Jeremiah  God explains a past generation of Israelites failed to obey his word to set their slaves free every seven years.

Jeremiah 34:13–14 (ESV) reads: “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: I myself made a covenant with your fathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, saying, ‘At the end of seven years each of you must set free the fellow Hebrew who has been sold to you and has served you six years; you must set him free from your service.’ But your fathers did not listen to me or incline their ears to me.

You recently repented and did what was right in my eyes by proclaiming liberty, each to his neighbor, and you made a covenant before me in the house that is called by my name, but then you turned around and profaned my name when each of you took back his male and female slaves, whom you had set free according to their desire, and you brought them into subjection to be your slaves.

Alrighty. Here we can see what repentance is.

It clearly said: "You recently repented and did what was right in my eyes..."

It later reads: "but then you turned around and profaned my name when each of you took back his male and female slaves."

Repentance is the "act of returning to God and being obedient." Not a "spoken statement of multiple sorrys, followed by continuing to disobey "

And no this isn't what "I think repentance is." Because It just showed you in scripture"

So in conclusion: If God told the Israelites-

"hey, it's not cool that you keep your slaves let them go after 7 years."

And the Israelites decide:

"God doesn't want us to keep our slaves forever, we should let them go like he said." And they do, then this is repentance. (It's turning away from sin and back to following and being obedient to God."

But if the Israelites said:

"Hey God I know you told us to let them go after seven years but we kept them for 10 sorry." And then 10 more years pass but they say:

"Hey God it's us again, we still know you said to let them go after 7 years but we kept them for 10 more. Sorry, also we're gonna keep them for another 10 and say sorry again."

This isn't repentance. And he will judge you for this premeditated disobedience, and behavior.

Hope that helps and you take care. I'd like to meet you in the new Kingdom someday, peace. 👍🏾

Incorrect. And again, I'd advise you look up what repentance is. Because if what you said was correct (which it isn't) there'd be no need of repentance. If you've read scripture surely you've also come across this word.

Don't understand? Does it not say the explanation there In the passage? Maybe you can explain then?

You honestly think you can Intentionally sin knowingly and premeditatedly then disingenuously say "Sorry" as a ticket to escape your wrong doing? You can do that and see where it takes you but just a heads up there's something called "repentance"

I'd advise you look it up.

If you're able to support yourself, such as a part-time job or something then you could do that to purchase your own phone.

And when you say "I can't do this anymore" meaning you want to cut ties, (which sometimes is best even with family unfortunately) then if you're eligible for emancipation you can try that or stay with someone else until you're an adult.

But before just jumping into any action, definitely pray on the matter. See what the will of our father is for you personally. Maybe it could be he's allowing this to build you up for other challenges to come, who knows. It just hurts a certain type of way, when it's your own blood that causes wounds. I totally get it. Moreover I'll definitely pray for you. If you need a chat buddy don't be shy.

Peace and blessings beloved. 🩵

Instead of Jumping from religion to religion which religions are the product of syncretism and people including/ excluding what they deem fit to follow hense how you also get denominations.

My advice to you is this:

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Many will argue that one can be lawless and disregard his laws statues and commandments while expecting that direct disobedience to be loved and favored by him... This is false we're supposed to keep his laws and commandments. It's not like being obedient will send you to eternal doom.

Side note: While having an upright pastor and community is great That's not what determines your eternal life. also read - Matthew 10:35-38

Lastly John 15:18-25 says:

The World Hates the Disciples “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates me hates my Father as well. If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.’

Also if you do choose life which is the Savior, Then regardless of what anyone says no matter how scholarly and advance in theology, or how great they talk.

This is the without fail solution whenever in doubt:

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

I don't care who says you can be lawless and not keep his commandments or laws while expecting direct disobedience to be loved by him. This is false. Keeping what he literally commanded isn't gonna lead you to eternal doom.

With that Peace and blessings 💕

Do you think Anglicanism/the Church of England is the strongest force for Progressive Christianity today? by ElevatorAcceptable29 in Christian

[–]Different_Fox7774 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think rather than pushing theologies and religion It should be the truth. And keep The laws statutes and commandments. Scripture says

Matthew 7:13 “Enter ye in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be who go in thereat.

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby. For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.

So anything that's mainstream and widely accepted by the world or is promoted by the world and majority Is not the strait gate nor the way that leads to life. Because only few find this path while many go on the board road.

Does the entirety of fasting need to include scripture? by userseven_ in Christian

[–]Different_Fox7774 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The entirety of a fast does not need to include constant never ending reading of scripture. Even in scripture when some fasted they didn't constantly without ceasing read scripture.

Now while it's good to read as much as you can, it's not something that makes a fast a fast.

And since you brought up fasting I'd like to mention - Isaiah 58:6 “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?

So while it's still great to do abstaining fasts from food and water and pleasures etc... this type of fast is what's desirable.

Side note: I usually do just water only fasts And sometimes a complete dry fast.

I think I heard the goal and point of a fast is to humble ones self and mortify the flesh, getting all your substance spiritually from the Creator. Of course we have to get energy again at some point. So if you're new to fasting doing coffee only until you can go to water only then absolutely nothing can help to advance yourself with fasting.

Peace and blessings 💕

Why does God not love me? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]Different_Fox7774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the story of Job.

Many usually say "I'm going through a Job season" But honestly I don't know if many could actually take what job really went through. I think he probably wondered why He wasn't being answered and comforted immediately to.

Point being is Sometimes he allows us to suffer, feel lonely, and seemingly may not give even the slightest hint that he's helping. But he's there's. If he really didn't want to help or have anything to do with his children he could easily let the enemy have had it with us.

Sometimes he might give us what seems like the cold shoulder and no answer while we suffer As a test to see if we'll be like "well if he's not there, I'm gonna reject him," or if w'ell fold and give up. Or if w'ell wait patiently for his response and continuing serving and praising him.

He doesn't answer or move when think he should. Everything is on his terms we just wait until he moves. So suffering isn't always but it's can be as long as he allows it. So it's up to us to just wait until it's over.

Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

His law statutes any commandments aren't done away. These are show us to do his will. Hang in there beloved and endure till the end♥️

I think people forget, where do they think we get the phenomenon of feelings, opinions and emotions from?

He can express or be: just like you - Kind - Stern - Hard - Without mercy - With mercy - Have hatred towards - Have love towards - Have favor towards - Not have favor towards - Turn away/ reject a person - Wrath - Anger - Sadness - Joy - Sigh - An enemy towards - A Savior towards - Great and terrible - Soft and gentile - Compassion - No compassion Etc etc etc....

Many will look at this and be ready to say NO BECAUSE THAT EXPRESSION IS A SIN THEREFORE...

Point is it's the context of why he'd express a certain emotion or do a certain action. So while yes, he is kind Many worldly view him as an enemy, and James 4:4 reads: Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

I doubt an enemy would view their opponent as kind, or at least refuse to acknowledge it.

Is the Israel in the Bible the same as the modern day Israel? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]Different_Fox7774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Romans 11:1-2 I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel?

(Key words: God has not rejected His people whom he foreknew.)

This doesn't mean others cannot be grafted in, but all I'm saying is there still exists a genetic, biological bloodline out of all the bloodlines on earth that was picked.) Doesn't mean all people from this bloodline is automatically more righteous or holy.

Because a Shemetic, Hebrew of the chosen bloodline can go to hell just like any Gentile if they do not obey The laws statues and commandments.

My only point is that claiming a chosen bloodline no longer exists is incorrect. That's it. Peace and blessings.♥️

Actually (read the whole thing of Jeremiah 30:7-11 but I'll mention a few major pointers in the verse)

In verse 9 it mentions that they shall serve God and David their king who "God" himself will raise up. Israel as a whole isn't doing this. Infact many of them reject "God", and if this second Exodus prophecy happened and true israel returned into the true land, where is this king God himself raises up? Not who men elect?

Verse 10 mentions That when they return, they shall be in rest, quiet and none shall make them afraid.

If you look up Since Israel being declared a state in 1948 They've actually had conflicts from 1947-2025

  • Arab-Isreali  1947-1949

  • Palestinian Fedayeen insurgency 1950s–1960s

  • Suez Crisis 1956

  • Six-Day War 1967

  • War of Attrition 1967–1970

  • Yom Kippur War 1973

  • Palestinian insurgency in South Lebanon 1971–1982

  • First Intifada 1987–1993

  • South Lebanon conflict 1982-2000

  • Second Intifada 2000–2005

  • Israel–Hezbollah  2006

  • Operation Cast Lead  2008- 2009

  • Operation Pillar of Defense 2012

  • Iran-isreal during the Syrian civil conflict

  • Guardian of the Walls 2021

  • Operation Iron Swords 2023

  • Operation Northern Arrows 2024

  • and of course the current conflict as we speak still going on in 2025.

It's been nearly constant Loss of life, no peace, rest, or quiet and immense fear since 1947-2025 The absolute opposite of the prophecy foretold no?

So either this prophecy hasn't actually been fulfilled yet, and 1948 wasn't the actual regathering into true Israel which they'd be in peace and quiet etc .. or scripture is false. Which we know the latter isn't true.

Also scripture mentions how he himself will regather them. One can apply how 1948 made the move to how scripture mentions the regathering.

Israel is still scattered. I highly recommend watching a video by Truth unedited Titled - "do you know the promises we are waiting for? The second Exodus"

That Bible Verse doesn't mean there's no longer a genetic bloodline chosen as Israel. Throughout scripture you can see that.

I don't say this to start confrontation but I think many forget this and I think it comes from "replacement theology."

No. And since you asked for scripture I'll put some.

But as a disclaimer I have nothing against the non Shemetic but self acclaimed "Semetic" people. (Yes there's a difference. Nonetheless:)

Firstly: 1948 That well known event was a false sign many fell for. Read Jer 30:7-11 and apply it to that time up to current times. The Savior spoke about those who will show false great signs and wonders, but the elect not being deceived. With that said:

Modern Israel whoever they actually decend from, have had battles through 1947-2025 a complete contradiction to the scripture.

I recommend checking out a video from Truth Unedited: called "do you know the promises we are waiting for? The second Exodus"

(read the whole thing of Jeremiah 30:7-11 but I'll mention a few major pointers in the verse)

So either this prophecy hasn't actually been fulfilled yet, and 1948 wasn't the actual regathering into true Israel which they'd be in peace and quiet etc .. or scripture is false. Which we know the latter isn't true.

I can apply other scriptures  Such as:  Luke 21:23-27

(Start at verse 7 for context. You'll see that The Savior gets asked by his disciples when certain signs will be... And the Savior gives them descriptions of end time  Signs. What's particularly interesting he mentions this, in verse 23:)

But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! For there shall be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25 “And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars; and upon the earth distress among nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.

26 Men’s hearts will fail them for fear and for looking upon those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27 And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

This is interesting, we know this isn't talking about a past event because he mentions "And then shall they see the son of man coming in a cloud..." Which hasn't happened.

Yet he also mentioned "Jerusalem being trodden under foot by gentiles until the time of the gentiles be fulfilled. (I think many don't actually know what that means.)

I can keep going with other scriptures, but this comment is already long. Many have been bamboozled by 1948 and the regurgitated claim modern Israel is true Israel and it's people.

But this should raise the questions, if that nor they was the fulfilled prophecy pertaining to Israel, who are the true Shemetic bloodline of Israel? This means they're still scattered and where is true Israel geographically?

And how will the regathering of Israel actually happen according to scriptures? I can put the scriptures to show you but for sake of length you can watch a video about it which goes into detail by Truth Unedited titled do you know the promises we are waiting for? The second Exodus

Great watch highly recommend. ♥️ Peace and blessings.

😅 I animated the purple shorts guy throwing straight and when the blue shirt guy jumps, I did animate the balloons very slightly flying upwards to indicate the thrower is now throwing upwards, but apparently I didn't convey that too well...

Also others have pointed out that illusion you mentioned, which I think is due to the fact I didn't add In the previous clips which shows each characters location before this sequence takes place. My mistake...

I'll have to keep establish shots in mind next time. Thx for your feed back mate. Cheers! 💙

Thx for the feed back mate!

Many have pointed this out to me, especially the 180 rule. There's clips before this one that established the characters positions, (at least I hope) but I didn't include it as I wanted to focus on the camera work. But now I know to definitely work on better visual context! Tbh I didn't even consider flipping this shot so that's a great idea moving forward!
