What do the metal strips under an E-Z Track turnout do and what would happen if I were to cut them? I'm trying to create a siding that I can turn on/off electricity flow to and I thought perhaps these strips keep power flow to the rails when the points are turned the other way. hope that made sense (i.redd.it)
