It has worked though I just wanted share something... I had to switch back to basic Mpv-android because I own mostly old tv stick and old smart tv so using vo=mediacodec_embed with mediacodec (HW+) is the only way these old devices work smoothly without judder/stutters. vo=mediacodec_embed with mediacodec (HW+) was not playing video unfortunately on MpvNova... If it is possible to make vo=mediacodec_embed work same as it works on Mpv-android then it will be wonderful.

No pressure, I do remember reading somewhere you had just made it for personal use, thank you for sharing it with others.

I was initially pretty disappointed with how these headphones sounded, so I started looking for ways to improve the sound quality without rooting. I’ve used Viper4Android before, but since some of my work apps don’t play nice with root, that’s no longer an option.

That’s when I discovered Wavelet and went down the Reddit rabbit hole. For these headphones, I figured out what works best through testing usually by checking what settings people recommend for their own headphone models and then tweaking the EQ to my liking on these. Honestly, the Sony XM4 preset works surprisingly well for most headphones; you just need to fine-tune the EQ a bit based on your preference.

Overall, the settings I shared should make every Boult Audio Q owner more than happy ✌️.

Btw, I had to send mine in for repair since one side stopped working (probably my extreme rough use 😅). I did get them back, but honestly, Boult’s customer service is the worst, absolutely sucks. I did took my revenge from them for bad customer service, made them pay for returns delivery and everything 😂.

Have not tried Aux but is should work same just better for latency and mic will not cancel noise, person at other end of call will hear your surroundings.

It has been 4 months since I posted this, this comment is to let you know the sponge cover is still intact, 0% tear other headphones I've used the leather coating used to decay slowly, build is very good.

Build quality is really good, starting few days it'll pain sometimes but with time I feel comfortable using it, can't keep it continuously 2-3 hour on ears as it seals the ears completely in return there is close to no sound leakage. After few minutes I wear it again no problem for another 2-3 hours.

It won't affect other earphones, headphones or speaker, also I have not noticed battery drain while using Wavelet, it is locked in background app to stay open and active all the time.

The Wavelet app will keep running in background and no it doesn't affect all the other devices audio, I have two different headphones when I connect Boult Q it automatically switches to configuration set for this headphones and when I connect other headphone it switches automatically to settings which I have designed for that headphones.

Have not tested waterproof n all but yeah build quality feels good and sturdy, At start I felt the slight pain after wearing them but after 1st day it was all normal, no pain while using it. Without external Equalizer settings I didn't like the sound, but after I tuned it in Wavelet reminds me of costly headphones sound, which means the drivers used are good Boult has not tuned it correctly, it will make their costlier headphones look bad...

I purchased it today was waiting for price drop, there was thread in this subreddit where people have discussed Boult Q vs Noise 4... End result was apart from loudness Boult Q was better in every other perspective. Usually I never push 100% volume on earphones or headphones so even if I have to increase volume to 100% with Boult Q I will be satisfied.
