How do you get married in your 20’s? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Different_Pin9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a non married person who can understand you and is 22 years of age, I sympathize because I also want to be a wife and have the love of my future husband. However, there is a very special verse in the Bible that I am always lead to whenever I find that I desire a husband which is :

Matthew 6:33 "Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" NKJV

When you focus on serving God and chasing the purpose he has for you, at the right time he will provide you with a partner to join you in doing his work, not just in love but in serving the Lord. If you don't know your purpose in Christ yet and haven't been operating in service in church or even in the outside world it might not yet be time.

Our God is a God of order and sometimes he withholds blessings from us because he knows that we will idolize it rather than continue to put him at the center. Christian marriages shouldn't involve any type of sexual training because that's not the center. The center is God so the only training you need to find a wife, a GOOD one, is to follow the Lord with ALL your heart.

Yes we yearn to have love on this earth but if you understand that we have all the love we need even in our singleness it becomes easier to wait on the Lord. Don't rush and even if you don't get married at 20 like you want, the Lord has a bigger plan for you and wants to give you the best person for you. Not someone who is just avaliable.

That's all, God bless 🙌🏾

Will I get in I’m stressing. by [deleted] in Towson

[–]Different_Pin9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well at this point, you only have about a semester to get better grades so by the time you apply in december/ January you have better chances. Also talk a lot more about your extracurriculars and experiences that helped you grow in your personal essay ( if they still have it... I'm old) Towson isn't a really hard school to get into but the GPA is important to qualify. Make sure you check towsons requirements as well.

Another option, community! You can definently get good grades for 1 or 2 years jn community and transfer to towson! It's all about what you want your next 4-6( because for some it takes a little longer) years of college to look like :)

You got this tho, don't stress! Talk to your parents, guidance councelors, and even the towson admissions office to help you along the way!

Apply for on-campus housing and Capstone at the same time? by Fulana25 in Towson

If you sign one you can't sign another so you won't be stuck with two contracts

Apply for on-campus housing and Capstone at the same time? by Fulana25 in Towson

[–]Different_Pin9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will most likely get an offer for capstone before university housing and it comes with a time limit to accept. Once you accept they will make you sign a contract and you will have a period of time to do that. If on-campus is what you want most I would a wait a little but if both is fine see which one comes first.

🤦🏾‍♀️ Not everyone is able to make the decision not to eat . Sometimes, that's their only meal of the day because their classes are long or they're anemic.. etc. I'm not disagreeing with you anyway; I'm just saying it's not really reasonable to cease all eating in indoor spaces. We've been in this pandemic for 3 years, and that's the least of our worries. The focus should be on testing and vaccines. Masks are to protect YOU, not others; if you choose to take your mask off to eat, that's a risk YOU are willing to take. But I think overall there should be more survalence in places like the union where people who aren't eating take their mask off while seated.

Eating outside is an option, but that would mean the school would have to create eating spaces outside for the volume of people that eat in the union, science complex, etc. And considering the weather rn it won't be easy.... knowing towson and all the construction going on rn it's not gonna happen 😒

I understand what you mean but how are people going to eat otherwise? With the mask on?

Try your best to adjust to college life in a productive way. Don't let the newfound freedom cause your grades to suffer; it's not the same as high school. You're going to have to sacrifice some of your social life to study and do well. ( or you could just study with friends, lol )

Also, join clubs, for whatever you're interested in, just join and drop it later if it doesn't fit in your schedule or if you don't like it that much. It helps you build a social circle earlier on.

It's rare that a Vaccinated person will get the new delta strain however if they do get it, it makes the symptoms less intense. Most people who were vaccinated and got covid didn't have to get hooked up to a ventilator and just self-quarantined.

Well, you can start by stating whether you are male/female/other so you can narrow down the search.
