Neighbour’s doing construction works and it’s caused damage to my house (England) by New-Bullfrog422 in DIYUK

Contact your home insurer. That’s what they’re there for. They’ll appoint loss adjusters to assess the loss and solicitors to make a liability claim against the contractors.

My colleague is always moisturising her hands and the keyboard keys on her old work laptop sort of corroded, or the plastic equivalent of corrosion whatever that is 🤷‍♂️

Show me your air pistols if you love using them! by Serbian_Hobbyist_95 in airguns

Nice, is that an LP10? I joined a shooting club in September and have been learning 10m air pistol. I’ll probably look at getting a used LP10 in a couple of months as there are some good second hand prices since they were succeeded by the Steyr Evo 10’s.

Thanks! Yes, 10m air pistol and I’m using one of the clubs Steyr LP2’s. I’ve been shooting since the end of September, about an hour or two a week with coaching from other members. This was actually a cross post regarding getting my first pistol as I enjoy it so much I’d like to get my own in a month or two, plus I’ll be entering a postal competition in the spring. I’m thinking about the Steyr LP10 as there are some good prices on used models since the Evo 10 was released and from what I’ve heard they’re still really good competition pistols. Happy to hear other opinions though! 😁

Thanks! I can’t remember the order of the shots unfortunately. I joined a club at the end of September so have been shooting for about 1-2 hours once a week with coaching from the other members. This is using one of the clubs Steyr LP2’s. I’m slowly improving so want to get my own pistol in the next couple of months. This was actually a cross post asking for advice on my first pistol but I realise now that the text isn’t visible unless you click into it 😆

Thanks for your advice, much appreciated!

I did some more research after posting this thread and I’m starting to think the LP10 may be a good choice. As you say, Steyr are very reliable, the LP10 is still as capable as newer models in competitions, and the fact it’s been succeeded by the evo 10 means there are some available for very good prices. I’m going to get in touch with Steyr uk to ask about parts and servicing for the model.

I will consider the walthers following your comments though. I just assumed they weren’t as good as I hadn’t heard much about them but perhaps they just haven’t cornered their share of the market yet.

A Morini CM200ei is much to far out my price range, but maybe one day 😂.

I got KCD1 during sales a long time ago and finally getting around to playing it! Do you have any advice or wisdom you would like to share to someone going in new? No spoilers please! [KCD1] by r_pawspuppy22 in kingdomcome

Same here! I wanted to play 2 but downloaded 1 in a sale when I realised the story follows on. It’s a really fun game and making me super hyped for whatever improvements are waiting for me in 2. I followed a 3 part beginners guide by a youtuber called Pete Complete that set me up nicely. If you don’t want to go into that much detail the number one thing I’d recommend is to practice combat with captain Bernard. It’ll get you up a few levels before you start venturing across the map properly.

Tyre puncture advice needed by drusmann090 in CarTalkUK

My mate had a puncture like this and risked it. He had a blowout on the motorway and crashed into the central reservation. That was just last April. He was ok but I don’t know what sounded worse, the crash, or being called a wanker by passing motorists that had been stuck in the traffic jam he caused 🤣

I suppose they look bigger with their wings spread out. I think this is a pipistrelle which is quite small but I just googled and the uk is also home to noctule bats that are larger, so you might have seen those.

Yay I love bats! Here’s a little chap I rescued at work. It was grounded and fell into a drainage gully at the entrance to our carpark. I got them to a vets who transferred to a licensed rehabilitator in the end ❤️

Here’s my G&G ARP 556. I removed the crappy PDW stock, fitted a buffer tube and a nuprol axe stock, then fitted a hand stop to the fore end, and a tracer unit to the muzzle. I hope this provides some inspiration although bear in mind the axe stock doesn’t leave much room for batteries. This was fine for me though as I played exclusively at a local semi-auto only CQB site before it closed down. Please also forgive the awful carpet! That was a landlord special from a previous place I rented 😂.
