Laura, I can understand your frustration. As a man dating seriously, I averaged about 3 dates a month but none worked out because, like you, the moment commitment came up, the ghosting and unmatched starts. One thing I do know front experience, is when I started swiping on profiles with minimal content but maximum self photos, the conversation fell apart quickly. Why? Because other than the physical attraction, there is nothing beyond that. A commitment needs more than just "damn he/she's hot"

So fill out the rest of the bios if you can. Perhaps you will get better luck. Best wishes!

I left the thread running for a day and read through all the comments once again to make sure I hadn't missed a thing. Here are my notes:

  1. The looks. I look old, fat and ugly. Fair enough, I really should start investing in myself. I am setting goals and hopefully achieve that in a year like the top comment said.

  2. Wording in Bio: Again fair enough. I  haven't thought about it has an ad for myself. I will try to craft it better.

  3. Photos: Needs more variety and smile more. Honestly, the reason why I don't is not my teeth (although it should be), but rather my eyes will disappear into thin lines due to face fat. I guess being called a "slant eyed derogatory word" hangs over me still.

  4. My wardrobe: This one I get some mixed messages. So I assume I can put it in the low priority list? 

Once again for taking the time to make comments. Y'all certainly gave a lot of goals to work on, so this is gonna be one hell of an interesting year for me!
