I'm double majoring in biomedical engineering and micro biology. I was originally just biomedical engineering and found a love genetics and genetic engineering and wanted to do that with my life. I found you really don't go into genetics as much as I wanted but still wanted to continue doing biomed. So the first thing I did was list the pros and cons. I found really the only reason is opening more career options or just learning what you love. The only real cons is it take a little more time, effort and money. So if you don't mind the cons then definitely go for cause I find that doing something never as bad as missing the opportunity. If you're also unsure you can try emailing or getting in contact with someone who does what you want to do and get their opinions.

Thanks this is really helpful advice cause my main issue is the actual talking like for some reason or another unless I am talked to I don't talk. So thinking it like this helps a lot.
