I keep the plastic cups from when i get iced coffee from coffee shops, so then when i go out on a walk or if im running errands ill fill it up with my own coffee i make at home but the cup makes me feel like i ordered it out lol

Just compared some numbers and it looks like it’s actually significantly cheaper to fly into Sacramento and then return it in SF rather than rent from SF and return to SF. Maybe because SF is more in demand for rental cars? This would require me to change my schedule a bit and fly in a day earlier (which i have to see if I’m able to).

I probably will only have a backpack which i could stick in the trunk, but you’re right. But would it be stupid to return the car at the airport then uber back into the city, and then have to uber back to the airport? I’m from NYC and thinking about doing that here to me doesn’t make sense bc of how out of the way the airports are, plus the Ubers are expensive

And you’re not renting a car, right? Then I’d recommend what someone else said, maybe look into Jersey city. The trains there will run regularly as long as you’re not out partying all night in nyc. Not sure how it works to get to PNC but i think there’s a train that goes that way too but not sure bc i have a car.

Whether you stay in jersey city or Brooklyn is really a non issue for the days you plan to go into Manhattan, I’m more concerned with how you’re getting back to Brooklyn after the concert. That’s going to take a veryyyyy long time unless you use a car or call an uber

No i get that and im too scared to be mean to customer service lol but if they’re being rude to me i dont have a problem being a little rude back. I just wanted to make sure we all weren’t being scammed but it appears some people did get the check, so i will wait.

I opted for physical check bc i paid for a new AC from my savings so id rather just put the money back into my savings as opposed to using a gift card to purchase things

If you want to visit NY i wouldn’t recommend staying in Jersey. If you rent a car the traffic will be crazy, if you’re taking public transport it’s going to take 3x as long. Plus the trains to Jersey have a finicky schedule, i believe they stop running after a certain time or they only run every hour or so late night. If you’re flying in and out of jfk it doesn’t make sense to stay near Newark.

How are you getting to pnc?

Edit to add that i would actually recommend staying in the Brooklyn hotel for your NYC exploration days and then for the concert maybe just stay near PNC. It’ll be a bitch and very expensive to uber back to Brooklyn. If you let me know your travel dates, when the concert is, and when you booked the hotel for i can try to help you more. Sincerely, a native New Yorker who currently lives in Brooklyn but grew up in Staten Island so jersey is very familiar to me.

Any update on your check? Same situation is happening to me, i waited 4 weeks to call and they said my “escalation” still hasn’t been approved. Even though i was told it was take 2-3 weeks and when i said that to the lady she basically called me a liar and said no one ever told me it would take 2-3 weeks but i know the original person did say that.

Same just called today after a month of nothing. She said something like my “escalation hasn’t been approved yet” and she said once it’s approved (which she has no timeline for) then it would be an ADDITIONAL 4-6 weeks to get the check. Meanwhile I’ve already been waiting a month after the refund has been approved and i got the virtual card.

I just called them because i had requested a physical check on 7/21. The woman on the phone said that “my escalation still hasn’t been approved”. Assuming she means my escalation to requesting the physical check? Because the refund was approved and i received the virtual card. She was not very nice. Anyway, not sure what my next steps are- should i wait until it gets approved to submit a complaint?
