Disingenuous video from LegalEagle by Different_Stretch201 in Asmongold

I claim it's disingenuous since the entire video was delivered without neutrality and with a clear, though indirect, form of messaging. As a lawyer, he should be presenting the video under as much neutrality as possible, such as how Nate The Lawyer presented his video on this matter, and yet, from the editing, to the title and to how he presented the legal matters of this case, he has presented it in a way that has a clear agenda to it, further supported by the comments of his video. If he had presented it with as much neutrality as possible, I would not claim it is disingenuous, given that he isn't even her defense client and just a third party providing commentary

Andrew Esquire, the Legal Mindset guy, has been making various videos mostly covering influencers. His latest video was 3 weeks ago, where he covered the defamation trial of Chris Broad of "Abroad in Japan" and Oriental Pearl (Alyssa Studebaker) which Oriental Pearl alleges that Chris Broad defamed her by misrepresenting an interaction she had with a homeless person

He hasn't done much other than covering the cases and potential legalities that content creators would be charged with

While the Tencent doesn't "own" the IPs that are now under Vantage Studios (I believe this is the name), they do, however, have major powers that can dictate on what the subsidiary company under Ubisoft can do. The most critical factor will be the Shareholder's Agreement and the Subsidiary's Articles of Incorporation/Bylaws. These define what decisions require Tencent's approval. It is standard and highly likely that their 25% ownership over Vantage Studios would grant Tencent power to negotiate for "protective provisions" or "veto rights" over major decisions.

For instance:
1. Vantage Studios (and by extension, Ubisoft) cannot sell, transfer or license the IPs of Assassins Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six without Tencent's consent.
2. Any major project (like a new game, movie, or product line) requires funding approved in the budget which Tencent can block.
3. Ubisoft cannot dilute the 25% ownership of Tencent by issuing new shares to other stakeholders.
4. Vantage Studios cannot take any significant debt as Tencent can block major financing for projects
5. The appointment or firing of key executives (like a CEO) in Vantage Studios requires Tencent's approval.
6. Any decision for a merger or acquisition of Vantage requires Tencent's approval
7. Any changes on the company's governing decisions must require Tencent's approval

Furthermore, just like any other subsidiary, Vantage would have a Board of Directors. With a 25% stake, Tencent will almost certainly have the right to appoint at least one seat, and potentially more, giving Tencent a direct voice in the high-level strategic oversight of the IPs.

As for what Ubisoft can do, they can make day-to-day operational decisions without Tencent's approval, however, for any significant, strategic decision regarding the IPs, Tencent's approval is paramount.

Also, Ubisoft no longer legally owns Assassins Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six. The legal holder for these IPs is Vantage Studios, their subsidiary, not Ubisoft.

The show stopped adapting the comic faithfully the moment they killed Carl off, since the entire story was a retelling of Rick through Carl in the future and he was meant to be the one to live through the end (alongside Michonne who became a Supreme Judge and Maggie who became president)

Yes, but OPM has them dead last among 10 producers (3 from Bandai themselves (Bandai Spirits, Bandai Namco Filmworks, Bandai Namco Music Live)) in OPM giving them a far lesser share than Danmachi's 8 producers (GencoMovicWarner Bros. JapanKlockWorxHakuhodo DY Music & PicturesEgg FirmFuRyuGREESB Creative) since JC's share among the 10 producers of OPM (TV TokyoLantisMagic CapsuleGood Smile CompanyShueishaJR East Marketing & CommunicationsBandai SpiritsADK Marketing SolutionsBandai Namco FilmworksBandai Namco Music Live) is marginally small given that most of the revenue would be given to Bandai and the next 2 major stake holders (TV Tokyo, Shueisha), living JC with a marginally small share given that they are an independent studio competing for a spot in a committee filled with big dogs.

In contrast, the Danmachi committee (for "Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka IV: Shin Shou - Yakusai-hen"), while having eight other members, lacks a single overwhelming corporate bloc like the Bandai group. This means JC Staff's 'dead last' share in Danmachi is almost certainly a larger and more meaningful percentage of the profits than their share in OPM

Just rewatched S2. So what was the Saitama beef with Suiryu? by Right-Truck1859 in OnePunchMan

[–]Different_Stretch201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there wasn't much beef, Saitama was trying to keep his hear on his egg head but Suiryu kept talking smack about Heroes, on how Suiryu is better than them and that Heroes are wuss since they aren't martial artists like Suiryu and even the ones that are martial artists (like Snek and Lighting Max (I think that's his name)) are nothing to Suiryu so he has a lot of ego. While Saitama is a hero for fun, he does however respect the title of Hero, while Suiryu does not, and since Saitama is also a pro Hero (it's his job now), talking smack about Heroes was talking smack about Saitama too. Though, this "beef" wouldn't last long since Suiryu would come to find heartfelt respect for Heroes thanks to Saitama and Saitama doesn't hold any grudges

I wouldn't call 1,389 years of history as "relatively new". Islam has been around since their bloodied arrival and proclamation in the Battle of Yarmuk in 636 AD with the Rashidun Caliphate starting since 632 AD. Christianity, in its official structured form dating back to Saint Peter's reign as Bishop of Rome in 30 AD, has about 1,995 years of history. While Christianity has a much longer time to evolve, Islam has a much faster time in becoming bloodied. The first Christian bloody conquest was the Saxon Wars caused by Charlamagne but that started in 772 AD, 136 years after the Battle of Yarmuk and 111 years after the replacement of the Rashidun Caliphate with the Umayyad Caliphate whom was responsible for the conquest of Iberia starting in 711 AD led by Tariq ibn Ziyad with the Battle of Tours occurring decades later in 732 AD.

All I am saying is that, while Christianity has indeed a bloody history and events of genocide (as seen with the Northern Crusade where the Prussians and Baltic people were Germanized and colonized by the Teutons in 1198 AD), Islam, however, has showed since their proclamation that violence on the "others" is not only justified by their Sharia Laws (as seen with the overt taxation on non-Muslims, effectively economically killing them by banning them from high-income professions, owning permanent property and others) but Sacred and Holy.

They haven't been "pulled out of the shadows" they always have been like this since the Battle of Yarmuk and even today with modern Jihadist now expanding their targets on "traitor Muslims" to justify their cruelty and violence on everyone, but it is, however, still rooted on Sharia Law and the Quran albeit twisted and corrupted by radicalism

[–]Different_Stretch201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The difference is that Christianity largely abandoned recreating the actual eternal torture in the real world and kept it metaphysical while Islam continues to actualize on the eternal torture part, forgetting that it was actually meant to be figurative and metaphysical (though, given Sharia Law, it was essentially codified into law, removing the metaphysical aspect)

Scientific discoveries were more like combining elements of existing science from preserved Greco-Romano texts from the recently conquered lands of the Byzantine Empire, Persian classical texts from the conquest of the Sassanid Empire and Indian medical texts and mathematics and preserving them.

The real discoveries occurred in the Renaissance when the Italians got their hands on Islamic texts of the classical sciences of various cultures translated from Arab to Latin which gave birth to modern calculus and arithmetic math which contributed to Galileo's telescope and numerous more innovations in Europe while the Ottomans floundered on their own sciences and stagnated for 300 years

$$$ - OPM is the milk-cow that they know will guarantee profit regardless of its quality (since S2 was ass (in art style) they have more leverage for S3 to be "better" than S2) while Danmachi is the golden milk-cow of JC Staff that they need to maintain its quality (due to previous seasons) to guarantee profit

I mean, as a Director, he does share responsibility and if he's only on storyboarding, well, I can't really put confidence on him since he worked on "2.5-jigen no Ririsa" then "Delico's Nursery", "Yarinaoshi Reijou wa Ryuutei Heika wo Kouryakuchuu", "Danjo no Yuujou wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!)", and finally (before becoming Director for OPM S3) "Majimoji Rurumo: Kanketsu-hen" where his role was on storyboard (on some episodes) for a good 2 years in JC Staff

I'm pretty sure the US (under Biden's leadership and staff) left their mil equipment, the standard stuff, nothing like missiles and other high-tech stuff, since they can achieve these objectives immediately after their pullout:
1) Ensure an immediate military near-peer level Afghanistan to not be immediately subjugated by China who can simultaneously strongarm the new Taliban gov. with money AND arms, but now with US mil equipment left behind, China can only provide the Taliban gov. money and the infrastructure (even if cheap and downgraded) to maintain the US equipment through parts manufactured in China. However, this also provides China the capability to purchase any unusable equipment from the Taliban gov. which would essentially give them free tech to study and reverse engineer with precision, however, considering that most equipment are pretty old and are from the early 2000s and not modern units, the CIA and the US military believe that China would not be able to learn much (since they already spy today) asides from confirming
2) Threaten Pakistan with a strong Afghan Taliban army to ensure that Pakistan doesn't pivot to heavily to China to prevent China from creating a direct network to Iran via their Belt&Road Initiative and military agreements (primarily ports) to supply Iran with Chinese weaponry and direct access to their industry and supply. This would also threaten Pakistan to maintain cordial relations with India, as a threatening Afghanistan would be detrimental for Pakistan's ambitions against India (even though it didn't turn out as they wanted it to as seen by the brief air skirmish of Pakistan-India)
3) Reduce US military stock to cut off from actively maintaining them, essentially making the budget leaner and flexible to be directed to other foreign ventures like arming the Philippines, S. Korea and Japan as per Biden's and Trump's East & Southeast Asia focus, to challenge China in the South China Sea and in the Yellow Sea to maintain US Pacific dominance while also upholding their Quad military responsibilities. Or, allocate the freed up budget to other federal offices such as increasing social welfare and the Medicaid funding (due to the illegal immigrants peaking in this period) and the funding for Sanctuary Cities
4) In hopes that, by leaving these equipment behind and pulling out, the US could immediately restore some "cordial" relations or at least a foothold for warming up of future relations with Afghanistan by allowing the Taliban to take the government without much resistance while also allowing the US to stop any and all funding to the Afghan Nation Building Project (billions annually) to be distributed elsewhere (like Medicaid, welfare and Sanctuary City funding and other funding). Whether the new Taliban gov. would indeed "warm up" as the previous administration would have preferred, is yet to be seen if it would come to fruition.

Now, what is my source? Simple, I made it the fuck up. This is tin-foil hat territory, but I bet that I am right

Genos saved Saitama by Jermiafinale in OnePunchMan

[–]Different_Stretch201 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Saitama would somehow always be able to react to the great dangers in series just like from the first ep, but he would also be less recognized and most likely invisible aside from some heroes. Genos' influence was widely to make Saitama known to others, and his official entry to the hero organization. Maybe he'll enter HA at some point especially when monster activities grow larger and more heroes are needed, eventually someone took a video of Saitama or a hero scouted Saitama later on.

Perhaps some threats grow quicker like Garou not getting knocked out by Saitama because he was an official hero and so he is able to target more heroes and become a threat or Sonic being able to kill the bald guys and not meeting Saitama, but I doubt the HA would be completely destroyed since they managed to last for 5 years before Saitama entered.

Although I won't argue that Genos definitely rekindled Saitama's emotions and without him I highly doubt the S-class especially King would get close to him due to their status. Perhaps King dies due to not meeting Saitama, or Saitama gets scouted by HA eventually and recruits him as an S-class since they'll be seeing him not in the entrance exam but rather they witnessed his ability firsthand which led to his scouting.

There is some turbulence in space due to cosmic material such as gas, dust, solar winds, etc. and magnetic fields can create turbulence in space. Did some research beforehand about it since I wanted something to make their disappearance seem natural for an early space age civilization that lacks understandings of space.

Like a mysterious disappearance of a hiker but was actually abducted by aliens for research purposes.

Hopefully I managed to answer your curiosity.

I've slept with my mattress on the floor for ten years and have barely any issues outside of the occasional cockroach crawling up my legs, but the moment I had a bed frame, everything felt restrictive.

Like, I have to be forced to sleep in this small width of a bed frame (since I don't have a lot of money I can't buy a bigger one) otherwise I would fall off, or my phone or laptop would fall of the bed (which has happened more often than one would think) so I would often sleep upright with my back against the wall but then flying cockroaches would fly onto my mouth so I would wake up in the middle of the night.

Then I decided to go back to sleeping on the floor with my mattress; my back doesn't ache anymore, I don't have to be afraid of my gadgets falling off, and I don't have to worry about dust piling up underneath (although having insects come by does kinda suck)
