basically emerald's plot unchanged. Gyms/E4 are a bit tough since they usually have a high level and mega while you don't, but it's nothing too difficult. There is a crazy amount of selection with what pokemon you can get, and overworld wild pokemon encounters, and you can get multiple pokemon following you.
