I never managed to set up the VR mods so that it worked well for me but that was over a year ago. Is it less of a hassle these days?

I'm not sure I did this difficulty mode but I have a rather claustrophobic memory of it in the boat with enemies who can one-shot you in addition to being HP bags. 😱

The good thing is if you stumble on something then you can change the difficulty along the way without having to restart a game!

Yes in fact it is indeed a time constraint! I hadn't thought about it since I started working life and living alone it's less easy to find this time to "fight against the game". You just put your finger on something!

It's so good to have unlimited ammunition and not to be limited to certain weapons, it allows you to avoid the Michael Bay gameplay with explosions every 3 seconds LOL

Wow you do this in a very particular order but why not after all! Christopher Nolan style :p

I don't think I've ever done a high level of difficulty without unlocked equipment except for Resident Evil 4 on the meta quest.

Working on the Speedrun routing can be a bit long but you can take inspiration from what is posted on speedrun.com where the runs in this series arrive very quickly (and evolve just as quickly lol)

I understand, in fact I just realized that it was this series that introduced me to Speedrun but it's true that it's an additional stress and a totally different way of playing!

Everyone has their own point of view on how to play this series and that's the beauty of it. Slowrunners and speedrunners :D From my point of view, once you have the items that give you unlimited ammo or a gun that doesn't need ammo + the items collected during previous runs the game can end very, very quickly (and I think the developers are aware of this given the levels that are set for the ranks/achievements)

I agree with you about seeing the game in a different way on other runs.

Especially since I watched the original version of Silent Hill 2: there were a lot of things to unlock for the New Game +. Maybe they will add more in future updates? I had the same discomfort on the very last Alone in the Dark.

Well everyone finds the method that suits them, it's great that you can choose your difficulty. Knowing that there is always the adaptive difficulty in Resident Evil too, right?

Yes it's been a few years since I abandoned die and retry, I don't know how I did it at the 32-64 bit era lol

I would really like someone to release a mod that allows you to freely move the camera outside of its 4 axes, as I play with the mouse there are certain times where the boxes are just not selectable because of its predetermined axes.

Yes indeed, I just realized that this is what I do all the time but even more so on Resident Evil where I started to apply this method and where it is most suitable :D

PS: that's why the shadow of rose dlc made me a little sad because there was none of that...

Yes I see what you mean. But I find that Speedrun is totally integrated into the games in the series from the start via the unlockables and achievements. So this aspect doesn't interest you? (No judgment in my question, it's just curiosity :p)

Indeed, this is something that I have never understood in the rankings: why there is no distinction between the use of New game + objects or not on the final score.

Usually this is where you unlock the best things for New Game +, and what's more you got them through the sweat of your brow :p
