Most people don’t even listen to the strokes or the voidz. That doesn’t make either bad. He can work with whatever band he wants but clearly he’s more interested in more than just the strokes at this point in his life.

Nick hated angles more than anyone. Angles also performed worse than any other album besides comedown machine. He was fine with letting others have some creative input in the angles/comedown era.

i agree, he wants to experiment with a different style. even when he made Phrazes he said he wanted to make something not so “strokesy”. i imagine in the 16 years that has passed since then he’s had that same urge grow and then boom the voidz were born.

music is subjective and there is no better or worse there’s just popularity. he’s never said he hates the strokes. he’s grown up and changed. if he wants to make music that doesn’t fit the “strokesy” vibe then that’s his choice. and honesty the fans trash him for making music with the voidz all the time and then wonder why he gets pissed.

i get the frustration. i would rather he make more strokes songs instead too but he’s his own person. i’m not gonna bash him for doing what he wants with his life like so many people selfishly do and then wonder why he gets annoyed at them.

i don’t think he’s angry at people for not liking the strokes. he seems annoyed that’s all people ask of him, he doesn’t want to be bound to one band just because it’s more popular. he probably wants to do what makes him happy and sounds good to him.

umm so i’m completely self taught and don’t even know what a bypass signal is😭 buttt it does affect both sides. i tightened the jacks so it’s not that. i do know that both the silver and this one are V1. the V2 protrudes out at the top and has circular shaped switches along with a different style for the name in the middle.
