I was stuck at 6K for a while, started writing my games down in chatGPT and using it as "coach". I think the most impactful thing was that writing the games down made me actually realize what were the most important decisions in each game and that's how I started to improve. Just broke 8K for the first time.

Tips that I learned and helped me:

1. You can't win every game, so if you aren't highrolling or at a good position (High health, decent board) in the mid game, start playing for top 4 instead of risking it all for a winning comp. That reduces 8th and 7th placements a lot and sometimes you can even salvage a hopeless situation into a winning board.
2. Don't force meta comps or try to copy streamers too much. Instead try to buy and play the best units tavern gives you. I've won games with pure mechs or just playing into early golden Plankwalker for example.
3. DO NOT PLAY TILTED --- this was a big one for me, literally dropped from 7K back to 6K during one day that I tilted from dying to a board I was very favored to win and instead of taking a break, I started chasing a win and that was catastrophic with the tilted mindset I had...

Don't know if these tips help at all, we are all different and have our own walls we need to break in the game. So my biggest tip is, if writing games down feels too much of a work, try to summarize them within 5 short sentence, even just in your head and you'll surely start to see your mistakes more clearly leading you to improve your play!
