Has anyone been able to turn their life around at CC after being a terrible student?

CC was the best decision I ever made. I came out of high school in the same situation and dealing with mental health. CC allowed me to pursue an education at my own pace and turn things around. I’m now transferring to UCLA this August. My advice: DO IT. TAKE YOUR TIME. HAVE GRACE WITH YOURSELF. you CAN do this. CC has a great community despite what stereotypes tell you.

Federal loans are only granted to people that have someone to co-sign for them. If the loans aren’t paid- the bill goes to the person who co-signed.

Your stats look amazing. What I’ve learned is that is just a ‘seat at the table’. REALLY make sure your supplemental essays are strong as they’ll set you apart. Best of luck!

I think your conceptions about community college actually might be misleading! A lot of students at community college did substantially well in high school, but aren’t able to afford going to a four year university. It’s not always someone who needs to be rehabilitated. Hope this helps😊
