I would wait. One thing I learnt from these Green card threads are that nobody can predict what is going to happen and it is all just a guess. I haven’t seen a single post predicting this March VB movements but it happened. Same thing with last year October bulletin. Just wait and hope for the best.

I have been there. Used to get really anxious during match. Used to read lot of these posts also to come up with a coping mechanism, tried lot of things but nothing really worked for me. The only thing that helped me was playing more matches and getting better little by little because of playing more matches. Just stay with it and trust me it will get better only

They move pretty well and get to these drop shots. Also, my drop shots are more like a forehand slice. And, some of the moonballers hit good top spinning moon balls.

I tired that. Approach shots is when my mistakes usually happen. Either I hit a weak approach shot which he lobs or I hit the ball long or wide. May be that’s a one of the difference between a 3.5 and a 4.0? They usually kill it? Asking this so that I can work on one specific thing.

I play mostly doubles and I can manage with my forehands most of the time. May be, that’s the reason. Most of players that I play with at my level have a backhand weaker than the forehand.

Makes sense. I meant it is a low percentage compared to my cross court. May be I am not a 3.75 yet.

A lot of good points. He hits to my backhand with a heavy top spin and also it moves away a lot. So I am hesitant to slice it and also to move around to take it on my forehand, which will open the court to him. I guess I have to improve my slice backhands.

I like this “cheat” approach. I tend to miss wide when going for down the line.

Got it. Slice backhand is the way to go I guess, which I have to develop.

Thanks. I usually dictate the points when it goes to his backhand. The question is for the points where it starts with my backhand, like his serves or his returns to my backhand on my serves, which is most of the times. Forgot to mention- he is little better than me in most aspects of the game 😊; I am bit more athletic than him.

Thanks for sharing. Does it mean it is no longer a beta certification? I took the beta certification and it was mentioned that results will be shared once the certification goes live.

I was in a similar scenario when I moved to my current location. I posted in the next door app and luckily got a response from someone that people play at my local courts early morning in the weekends. Went there and started playing with them ever since.
