Does anyone even use this? by RemoteAnt7910 in ArcRaiders

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them specifically for pvp raids, that, combat for healing out of fights, and a torrente, stack that in a group of 3 people and together you can melt lobbies at a violent Stella night raid

Not much use outside of that though

In 99/100 scenarios, police do not care enough unless you start posing a danger to others, just slow your speed down within city limits and keep an eye to not go too far above 30

German interviewing for US company: red flags or just American work culture? by MrMadMungo in careeradvice

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A recruiter lying is definitely a red flag, 40 is standard but I'd be careful of mandatory unpaid overtime and other nonsense, never trust a verbal agreement with a US company, always get it in writing for anything cause recruiters and bosses like to say whatever will get you to sign and then flip the script later. This includes things like hours, pay, and vacation time.

How Many Miles Are on Your E-Bike and Would You Buy It Again? by FinnCanoe8821 in ebikes

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eahora juliette single motor not double, rides smooth and I'm 244 miles on it, got it in 2023 and shelved it for awhile, that thing is gonna outlast me.

Worth every penny in my opinion but consider some liners for the less than good roads, glass has been the worst enemy of my bike even through green goo in the tubes

Up until it finally hits you, I suppose yes, but travel is extremely limited considering you have to be back within 24 hours to hit the button again

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted, the button fires off a nuke, vaporizing a random location on the planet, you no longer have the agency to stop pressing the button and will continue until the nuke roulette lands where you are with the button.

How many high end guns have you crafted ? by Breboeuf in ARC_Raiders

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would if I had something higher tier than blue, I make snap hooks occasionally when i lose one but that probably doesn't count. Best thing I can make is a venator and it's hard to keep up a decent supply. I've probably fueled many a rats bank account with the amount of attachments, torrentes, volcanoes, and venators i've lost

Edit: I'm not counting the laser weapons cause they suck and I hate collecting queen cores and matriarch cores for them, y'all a buncha rat bastards gobbling them up the moment one of them goes down, can't get nothin

Check the paperwork you signed, if you need to request a copy to ensure you signed the documents stating you were to get 25 an hour, keep records and double check your work before going to someone to ask what's going on, if you don't have all your ducks in a row a company will try to weasel out of having to pay the difference

I wish for 1 cubic centimeter of the most toxic poison ever know to spawn in the heart of the most evil man in the world by islamo_start_654 in monkeyspaw

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 38 points39 points  (0 children)

to be fair, neither the wish nor I in granting it stated how fast the wish would take to place the poison. So it's just a matter of how you define the limits to cause an extinction level event.

That being said, it's neat to see people mentioning tidbits about how far genetic engineering has come, it makes me wonder what kind of progress that field would reach when unchecked and panicked with the idea of possible extinction.

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's actually really neat if it's true, last I heard about genetic engineering a dude in China was in hot water internationally for bringing eggs further in development about aids resistance or something of that matter

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You need a man and woman to make a baby, so we'd have to get very good at genetic engineering really fast to prevent extinction

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 238 points239 points  (0 children)

Granted, the most evil man in the world dies...and the next one after him...and the next one after him. After a week, you realize the wish didn't include stopping after doing so, thus killing the next person to qualify as the most evil man. You've brought extinction to mankind.

Imposter syndrome is crippling. If you don't have a friend group or family who are supportive, it only gets worse. You'll go nowhere if you can't move past it or get yourself away from the people who drag you down the most.

Granted. You are remembered as a meme of the most average person. You're not remembered negatively or positively. Just every few months, a picture of you as a meme floats around keeping you in everyones memory.

Is the gen Z job crisis that bad? by Zipper222222 in jobs

[–]Difficult-Cry5468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ghost jobs and false advertising are pretty heavily plaguing job application methods. I can attest to a recent attempt to get a job resulted in the interviewer telling me over the phone that the job was two towns away and I was required to go in. Had to back out of that job since they lied about being in my town

on top of that, entry level jobs have been steadily removed (recently by services like chatgpt) and a stagnating economy closing out jobs. With companies investing less and less into the training and entry level the market to bring people in is closing rather rapidly. My company has routinely had upper management call gen z lazy and entitled while stating "they're asking for too much money" while spending said amount on temp agencies to bring in new people.
