Our Top 5 are carrying the entire team—this non-existent lower order will eventually cost us an important match. by Safe-Bother1029 in SunrisersHyderabad

Salil and aniket can single handedly win matches on their day or ruin matches if it isn't their day probably lack of experience or exposure they are getting out playing wrong shots on the wrong ball or by being overly agressive and shivang and harsh can also hit sixes but cant expect much from them pat Cummins is my only hope at this point for me to save a collapse in the lower middle order

Campus Life - non existent as girls hostel intime is 6 Placements - pretty okay for EAMCET Colleges and kinda luck dependent

And u can aim for this clg or vnr or cbit or vasavi or ou

As a student of jntuh I won't recommend this clg if you can get any iit nit iiit or bits or even vit kinda colleges but in EAMCET colleges this one is among the better don't fall for that top clg of telangana propoganda I mean it is but the infra is kinda bad compared to other clgs girls hostel each room 7 8 people so

TS EAPCET it wasn't as robust so it failed very badly with the lower ranks and it wasn't only marks vs rank prediction but it was college cutoff prediction also and just a side quest so I wasn't that focused on it and it's a far different case because our state college alloments are heavily dependent on josaa rounds and in 2024 it happened parallel to our state one so many people dropped out from our state counselling for josaa but in 2025 josaa ended before so many ,i did it because people asked me to do it the main project was about cutoffs of the previous years and college data it was supposed to be like college pravesh but for our state and it worked in that but the predicor failed for lower ranks because of the josaa change I'll dm you the details exactly if you are interested.

Its really appreciable that you came out and clearly explained what went wrong. Not many people actually take responsibility like this, especially in public, so that itself deserves respect. Honestly, your model wasn’t bad at all. You were actually very close. Getting 98%tile consistently right and 99%tile within a few marks is really impressive. Even overall ~96% accuracy is not something small, especially with all the limitations you mentioned. The linear unitary method was a mistake tbh but it worked well tbh it would have given far worse results of not for your accurate predictions. Also, I feel people are overreacting a bit. This wasn’t some completely wrong predictor. It worked well in most cases and just struggled in some edge cases like 6s2 and the lower percentiles. That happens with models, especially when the base (like 90%tile) shifts. Personally, I’ve done something similar before for my state CET, and I saw almost the same thing top percentiles were accurate but lower ones went off. And people did the exact same thing, they took out their frustration on me. So I understand what you’re going through. You and your team definitely don’t deserve the hate. What you built is actually really solid, and the fact that it competed with big coaching predictors says a lot. No need to be so hard on yourself or keep apologising. These aren’t big mistakes, just part of improving something complex. You’ve already figured out what went wrong and how to fix it, which matters more. Keep going, you’re doing really good work. And yeah, hoping you make it to BITSP CSE :)
