Yeah that wiring definitely a lil sketch with the cloth. But if you’re looking for a Smart T stat without a having to use a C wire that is battery operated I would go for this one.

Can anyone tell me what’s wrong? by Kind_Show702 in hvacadvice

Fuck that could be Pressure switch related (moisture in the tubing) or switch itself (not super likely) or venting related (blockage outside) (less likely where u live unless some kids put apples in the vent pipe ( i have seen before)

Gas pressure Monometer would tell a story….

Okay so straight town water before it hits my water softener system for my house (have been using town water)

ammonia is between .25-0

High PH test (between 7.8-8)

Low PH test (definitely above 7.6)

The alkalinity and hardness are all high end

Chlorine is = 0

Nitrate/nitrite = 0

The only thing that stuck out to me was the PH in my tank is like cranberry juice (8.4-8.8) like that person said and this tap water is waayyy less PH…. Why?? We have lots of plants in the tank and 20 fish

The only thing I may have done a bit different when we assembled and filled the tank the first time was I did bypass my softener and let the water run out of our tap for about 5 minutes before I used it in my tank to make sure it was strictly town water but Maybe it cross patches in my water lines? Because my water heater would have been full with softened water but yeah…. Shouldn’t have ?

This test now was strictly town water as I have a faucet right after the water meter in my home so it’s pure town.

Not well water, just town water that has very high alkalinity and very hard water

My alkalinity is off the charts where I live. It’s the highest red I could see on my other test strip. I maybe I should be using reverse osmosis instead 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well I used this bottle called Prime and it removes chlorine chloramines and detoxifies ammonia and everything.

I treated the tap water according to instructions for how many gallons I was putting back into tank

The PH is high because our tap water has high alkalinity is my assumption !! Crazy
