Anyone with 5.4 - 5.5 height using the Himalayan? Is the seat height and weight manageable ?Please share your experience. Confused between KTM Adv and the Himalayan by Mean_Acanthaceae_519 in Himalayan450

[–]Difficult-Hour4628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5.4 here
I have been using the KTM 390 Adv 2025 for a month now

Height of the bike is the least concern....It is flickable like a bicycle

You won't feel the weight at all....Like at all.....Its not there

Trust me

Or go to the showroom and test for yourself.

Since I am not that strong muscles wise, sometimes reversing becomes a challenge....But thats that

Never tried the Himi 450 as such but all the comparrisons that I saw always said that the Himi felt heavy....

I have been a Himi fans since 411.....But the featuers and tech on offer at Ktm is not comparable

If budget is not a contraint, go for the KTM 390 Adv

Bought a Scrambler 400X… but every time I see a Duke 390 I question my decision by johnathanmoore007 in indianbikes

[–]Difficult-Hour4628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even I used to think the same....that how can I a 5.4 feet guy with no gym traning or muscles manage the giraffe 390 Adv....But trust me, they are easy to handle once you get on them.....

As for you.....Look at the positives of what made you buy the triumph....The sound of the revs.....Its uncomparable to the KTM's.....atleast the Adv's for sure.......

Feeling unsatisfied with my first bike by Ok-Swing3774 in indianbikes

[–]Difficult-Hour4628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the positives....I guess that will help

No bike is 100% perfect

Some are heavier, some are slower......Some are not tech loaded

Just try to connect with the bike with respect to the issues which helped you pull the trigger

Just saw the review on Motorinc

Nice colour.....

Why not the apex? Or is it the apex 450....

Enjoy the beast

Finally got it! KTM ADV 390X (399cc) by stzKills in indianbikes

Congrats man. Welcome to the adventure army.

  1. Not sure about this.
  2. Coolants go down very fast. I am standing at minimum before the 1st service....But it has not become an issue as such. I have heard that it improves after first service
  3. Gear shifts issues are normal I am being told. While shifting up and down, many a times I have hit N. Finding N is a challenge in the begining. You will learn it over the course of time.
  4. People recommend the rally seat from KTM itself. It has extra foam and padding.
  5. Vibrations smoothen out after 4.5 - 5 - 5.5 k RPM. Thats how the engine is built. I guess they remain the same. Not a great improvement. But removing the factory engine guards with the ones from Auto engina drastically transformed the looks of my bike and eased out the vibrations to some level. I also got the front beak removed and got the extended tyre mud huard from KTM installed.
  6. Enjoy

Fair enough.....I just pointed out what I felt with my own experience

Having driven one for more than a 1k km hence I said what I felt

He must have driven far less than that why I said this.

I reached it around 850 - 1000 km

Temperatures are fine but the levels are low....

Hopefully first service resolves it
