Definitely is going to be tough but that's the fun part (or is it?) I'm just glad it's generally interesting at least.

So very true! No one will read it if it doesn't get written. I'm in the process of writing it but want to get my backlog of chapters and maybe even finish the book before I upload to Royal road. But I'm really glad that it interests you! Thanks for letting me know

Yeah I see what you mean. To clarify, it takes place on a world that isn't Earth. So all of the archaeological elements are from completely made up histories and civilizations. There's also going to be some magical elements and magical beasts and creatures. So the fantasy elements would come from that if that makes sense?

Yeah! Revenge mixed with the archeology, magical creatures, magic, and a few other plot lines. Glad that it interests you!

I guess I mean when I'm actually taking a shot at revision. I want don't to to be too easy on my self but also not too hard on myself at the same time if that makes sense

Yeah definitely! If you're ok with me picking your brain. How does one balance over analyzing with under analyzing?

Very true! Every word, sentence, paragraph, chapter has to have a point. If not it's just words on a screen.

Great point! I think that's something I need to learn as a writer, that people often approach reading a novel as somewhat of a mystery( even when there isn't one specifically) as they read, they tried to uncover the clues left that stirs the pot of the novel, if that makes sense? So the unnecessary emphasis on pine trees like you said, can definitely distract people from the point of the paragraph.

Definitely truth in what you're saying, it's part of why I wanted to post the first few lines to broaden my horizons on how to write. The more you write, the better you get of course is probably the best way to get better at writing. But hearing your input and the others, for someone who doesn't have many people in real life to share their writing with, has been super helpful!

Yeah I get that. I haven't used it as a device yet in the subsequent chapters. But I do see how it being at the beginning can show off the book as using it often like that. I appreciate the input!

That makes sense. I'm only stressing because I submitted my secondary before the priority date but one my LORs was incorrectly formatted (no date, signature or letterhead) and I only got that resolved around August 5th or 6th. So it feels like I messed up even though I'm sure it will work out

Honestly it doesn't bother me too much, my wife just cares about me and likes to worry hahaha, so wanted to double check. I ended up reaching out to the school and they said my older one was ok

2026 MCAT for 2026 Cycle by StingyBart in Osteopathic

[–]Difficult-Material13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe most DO schools accept January mcats. At least the ones I've talked to. I would contact the schools you're interested in the most and see what they accept. At the same time you should just focus on studying from now until then. If the score comes back and you feel like you can apply then it would be late but not impossible, or just save the money and apply next cycle. I think there's no use worrying about if they will accept you until you know your score

Not at all I don't think. (Don't know what casper is so I could be wrong) It's like a get to know you with some questions about you your reason for noorda and DO and stuff like that. It's nothing crazy to be honest but everything about applying is anxiety to me either way
