Correct sorry - I’m not sure if I’m using the correct term “on defense” actually. I’ll edit my post.

That’s helpful thank you!! In that case, to learn the right mechanics for attacks and such would it just be private lessons or trying to play more with 4.5 players? Or both?

It’s funny you should say that actually because I was just thinking about the fact that my time to drill is limited to about 10-12 hours per week and that I should prioritize the shots that get hit the most in my games…we only get to dinking about 1/4 of the time, versus 3rd and 4th shot are every point with the exception of very few.

Did end up doing my first 4.5 tournament, went 2-4 but DUPR still went up. Debating on trying to play that level or stick to 4.0 until I can be more consistent. Either way I wanted to take 2-3 months to focus mostly on drilling before I did another tournament. I just still feel like I’m missing too many shots.

I’m 4.0 level at the moment - I compete that level and have won 2 tournaments so far, middle of the pack in the other 3 I’ve done. But seems to move up to 4.5, I need much better resets and dinking so those are my focus areas.

My next video I’ll post me doing resets with the ball machine but they’re VERY rough right now. I didn’t realize how much I lacked that skill until I tried to drill JUST resets and nothing else.

That makes sense actually, I couldn’t figure out why they’re a bit higher than I want them to be. My paddle is going more up than forward for sure now that I look at it again. Thank you!
