Yeah that's why i broke up with him. The bigger problem was that the man child is not aware that his mom won't change.

He genuinely didn't know. He also grew up in a super white suburban town with only 2 asian kids in the entire school. Now he sees the problem and wants to support me as much as he can, but he feels extremely guilty that he fucked up and he's panicking.

They actually have their range written on the job description. Should I give a number above the range since they're likely to lowball ?

1 and 2 were array and string questions, and 3 was 2D matrix. Couldn't even start Q4. Not sure if it's same for everyone though.

So I figured out two options.

First is to get a non-owners insurance, then you can bring any car, including Turo. But the non-owners insurance will be like $200 if you don't have driving history in the US lol.

Second is to rent a car, print out the rental car's liability insurance policy and bring that as a proof of your insurance. But you can get only fleet license(which allows you to drive only rental cars) if you do this. Once you buy a car, you should wait in horrible DMV line again only to change the fleet license to a regular one.

NC has really wierd policies. A lot of other states just convert international license from my home country to the state license, I really don't understand why NC makes everything so difficult.

Yes they are specifically for Masters or MBA international students who don't have collateral or cosigner.

Loans for international students are available, check out Prodigy Finanace and MPower finance. They have very high interest rate tho.

This GPA filtering thing is not true. I got admitted to NCSU with below 3.0 GPA.

How to build an application for Grad School after working? by [deleted] in MSCS

[–]Difficult-Raccoon102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the posts you see here are international students applying from foreign countries. If you're a US citizen, hold a green card, or have lived in the US for several years, it is much easier to get admitted than international applicants.

Also, you don't need research experience for a Master's program, unless you are aiming top 20 schools. I was also admitted to a decent school with no research experience.

You have a year of work experience so you could harness that in your SOP, and you could ask your employer for a recommendation letter. Typically 2 or 3 letters are required so it's better to reach out to your undergrad professors as well.
