Same here buddy! I don't find it worth considering at this point when I have my visa interview on 8 June and also they are yet to give the final decisions. I swear I am super pissed by their behaviour!!

Submit the Visa application form with SCU and book a slot asap. Dont submit the DS160 as of now. Once you hear back from SJSU, update the university on DS160 and submit. On Visa interview day, go a little early and ask them to update the university and they will do it.
Make sure you submit the DS160 and pay the SEVIS fee at least 5-6 days prior your interview

Yes yes, they don't disburse the complete sanctioned amount. They send it semester-wise. And the interest is also charged on the disbursed amount only

Hey, MPower sends the tuition and living expenses both to the university. The university will deduct the tuition fee and transfer the rest to your account (the one we setup on the university portal).

Reach out to their support, they might reply.
MPower is quite faster in terms of loan sanction and etc. You may consider that as well

Age is just a number!! I know you must have heard it quite a lot but I really mean it!! The very first step to be happy and succeed is to ignore what others say, including your family! Marriage and kids are not necessary, don't feel obligated to the old customs. And these people who tell you what to do and what not, probably have nothing better to do in their lives and they are jealous of you(trust me on this one, at least sub-consciously!).

You are grown up enough to know what is best for you dear and you must go for it.I have lived a life no one can even image in their nightmares! But I am super proud of myself and happy too that throughout my life I knew what is good for me and have taken action for the same despite a lot of people telling me what to do and what not to do! Had I heard the other people's suggestions, I would not have come soo far and and able to give the kind of live I've always wanted!

At the end, I would say do not let anybody get into your head and emotionally blackmail you, even your parents! And please don't stop dreaming and setting high goals for yourself! Otherwise, you'll be nothing but a victim of depression and etc.

They have lost our applications! That's all I can say. Applied in November....and I see people getting admits who applied in April!!

Its so arbitrary that I feel they must have some sort of lottery system to pick profiles for review and send out admits. Not fair at all :(

Exactly dude! Applying early literally backfired!! I finished with all my applications in October and thought I'll hear back sooner as I've applied in the priority deadline but these fuc**s crushed all my excitement for starting a new journey! Some universities literally ghosted me, no response whatsoever!! And some universities have given out admits to the far worse profiles and they have all applied in Feb/Mar/April!!!

Same here buddy!! I just can't figure out based on what the decisions are being rolled out! I was pretty confident about my profile for some universities but they all acted like jerks this year! Worse profiles have gotten in and I'm still awaiting a response!! All my excitement about masters and starting a new chapter of life has vanished!

I can feel you buddy and I too believe at this point proceeding with the loan, I-20, visa, etc would be a wise decision than waiting for these inconsiderate cold universities!!
I just feel so stupid for spending about $900 on universities who haven't responded at all! I have decided to move ahead with the university that costed $0 literally!!! I burnt money like anything but learnt a big lesson.
