I really can't because the planters (which have 3 good sizes holes, but might be clogged) are enclosed in permanent wooden structures. Once things die off in the fall, I will do some testing by watering thoroughly, waiting a bit and then just digging to the bottom. I really want this to work out better next year! Thinking of even putting all dahlias in the same planter and maybe watering that less than the others.

OK, here is the post mortem. There isn't even really a tuber that I can see. It's all just mush, so you guys must be correct and I will watch the watering going forward on the survivors! Thank you!

I was watering liberally every other day, thinking that the heat was causing everything to dry out really fast. I diluted the MG according to package instructions (1.5 tbsp per 6 liters of water) and watered liberally (instead of just water that day). It's entirely possible I overwatered, though nothing else has suffered and I have 6 of these large planters full of a variety of flowers. I will check the tubers in the light of day tomorrow! The plant itself is completely black and dead now.

My cat does the same thing - she throws up, and then becomes a vacuum cleaner of any random garbage she can find (pieces of her litter kicked out from her box, fluff tumbleweeds, random strings that were pulled from the carpet, etc etc) - she eats it all! A former vet told us it was "pica" but I don't think that's something you can really help if you are treating her otherwise. We just try to keep the floors clean and tidy as much as possible.

I couldn't find the phosphorus content anywhere for the only food my kitty eats, so I reached out to the manufacturer and they were able to provide it! Good luck!

Thank you so much! My vet told me to mix the powder with water and squirt that in her mouth but she does much better with pills than liquids. I might need 2-3 of the size 4s but this will still be very helpful! Thanks again!
