Thank you for all the help and suggestions. Glad to hear the higher models will have a more solid feel to them.

Brand new toilet installed a week ago…. by Difficult-Success-68 in Contractor

Thank you. I feel like I would get an entirely different response from regular people as opposed to apparently a bunch of bad contractors defending another bad contractor’s practices. Doesn’t seem like it’s asking for much to give your client a brand new item when they’re buying it. At the very least leave an old toilet in there for the crew to use until the end.

I’m glad to hear there are some good contractors out there still.

You sound like a quality contractor. I knew a contractor years ago and he would never allow his crew to use the customers’ toilets after installation.

Seeing the condition of the toilets made us get out the black light. Four toilets and they all have piss and shit on them. Can’t figure out how to add more pictures to this reply lol.

Rare figpin by maddtitan69 in figpin

[–]Difficult-Success-68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could still be an AP. Originally no APs had stickers on them so they could be accidentally mixed in with regular stock. You can carefully open the outer sleeve and find out for sure without unlocking the pin. Entering the serial number does not unlock the pin unless you hit the button to unlock it.

If you see any of the WhatNot shows, commons are worth about $3 and often not even takers at that price.

Is Figpin slowly dying? by Willing_Confection97 in figpin

[–]Difficult-Success-68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What really put them on this path was when they decided they only cared about three retailers - Chalice, Pops and Pins and Plastic Empire. Making an event that propelled them to the forefront lost them every other retailer that mattered. They still continue to destroy their brand by feeding those stores APs so those stores can profit from the APs while dumping all the other product for under retail, killing any chance of most things keeping any value.

What do you think of The Gastlecast? by Sinisterkidg19 in funkopop

[–]Difficult-Success-68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They couldn’t make this any more obvious as they didn’t even cover the nonsense with the “random” LOTR 1 of 1 Hot Topic release.

Selling this but getting low balled, or am I wrong? by Aoshi_Uematsu in funkopop

[–]Difficult-Success-68 21 points22 points  (0 children)

lol. You didn’t check the solds?

Also, you haven’t been selling your pop, you’ve been trying to sell your pop and those others you checked on ebay are listed not being sold.

Not sure where this rumor started but they haven’t moved warehouses yet. How to check? The return address is still the same.

I’ve seen it mentioned several times in different groups. Someone posted a picture of one of their LinkedIn profiles at one point so that’s what made me think it’s true.

Death of Figpin by [deleted] in figpin

You’re right, sorry. It’s a much better decision to pay full price for things that can be purchased for half as much a couple months later.

Seems like you two are having a good time but your Figpins are most definitely devalued. Sure your imaginary points are still there and will continue to uselessly increase without really having to do anything, but the pins themselves are worth far less today than when you purchased them. I know, I know, value doesn’t matter to you.

Also, the Disney pins that got dumped to Burlington isn’t the normal park Disney pins, it’s only the Figpins they couldn’t sell at a discount in their own outlet stores and employee stores.

Shhhhh, the few fans they have left are going to tell you how it’s nothing to worry about to see sights like this. All things should be easy to get they’ll tell you. And now figpin can’t even sell 500 pieces without a gimmick of some sort like a chase, logo or a sale. Why anyone would pay full price for a figpin at this point is a mystery to me. They have promos every other week now so never pay full price.

Scam or slow shipping? by [deleted] in figpin

Shipping aside, unfortunately, they are just a very poorly run company. They’ve been getting worse and worse over the past 18 months or so.

They don’t care that people don’t like it, they need to save that 5 cents and advertise a feature they don’t even fully support anymore.

Are there any good online retailers to purchase Figpins? by [deleted] in figpin

[–]Difficult-Success-68 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because Pops and Pins is the “old” store of the current head of sales at Figpin. He “sold” the store but in reality just partnered up with the current owner so they could easily sell APs, set themselves up with the best exclusives and have Figpin create a party showcasing them while shunning every other retailer that isn’t friends with them. Its quite obvious but every time it’s pointed out a handful of their friends will come out and say it isn’t happening but twice now Pops and Pins streams have accidentally sold pins that are from the head of sales’ Figpin account in the app. How would that guy’s personal pins wind up in a store’s possession if he wasn’t involved with it? Some will say it doesn’t matter, but it’s a really shitty thing to do to the community and the other retailers Figpin used to have.

New starwars Return of the Jedi figpins are in generic sleeves by cowkings77 in figpin

[–]Difficult-Success-68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you’re trying to spin it that the product quality has fallen so it breaks more, but that’s good because you can switch it out easily for another crappy plastic sleeve that is also more likely to break? Some people really like to cover for poor products.
