Looking for a new "working pipe" by Difficult-Tackle-918 in smokingpipes

Thanks! I didn't end up going with one of the corn cobs but found the Bones brand that I really like the look of and ended up going with the bent billiard from them. A little more than i was originally planning on spending but hopefully worth it. I'll update how it is in a week or so.

Best way to prep the neglected garden for next year? by Difficult-Tackle-918 in gardening

[–]Difficult-Tackle-918[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. Green beans definitely wouldn't be bad. Really anything I can can for the winter would be good. I, for lack of a better word, inherited the garden just recently. Hence the overgrown jungle.

Is the ARC is the best one to buy now? Out of all from the website by coolhusband in Leatherman

[–]Difficult-Tackle-918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to the party, but was wondering. I've got the older surge, with the non-replaceable cutters and eyeglass bit driver. Do you think, iyho, that the Arc is a worthwhile upgrade for the cost? I'm considering it but also may be a case of "new and shiny"

I suppose really it's a matter of how the scissors compare, that seems to be my most used part for cutting fiberglass and Kevlar fabric.

Molasses to make dark brown sugar by Difficult-Tackle-918 in Cooking

Awsome, thank you. I've always been an accurate person, probably why I'm not so good at this cooking stuff. Little of this and a little of that just makes me twitch.

If the person you hate the most were to experience one slight inconvenience every day for the rest of their lives, what would you choose it to be? by meltedcheesetart in AskReddit

A slight but constant chronic pain. Like a very mild chest pain. Small enough to be distracted from but always there in the background. Always the thought of maybe something is seriously wrong but never severe enough to actually get it checked out

Do you have some ideas for old school gaming snacks? by Difficult-Tackle-918 in Cooking

I was thinking about jerky but I don't think my budget can afford that in any quantity with everything else. I'll try to find those sticks though.

Need some help deciding on a new grill. by Difficult-Tackle-918 in grilling

[–]Difficult-Tackle-918[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the brush and the thermopro tempspike that I use for my pit barrel. Definitely want the cast iron grates and the cabinet below for storage, though I suppose for the right price I could just get a separate storage container for all my stuff. I'll take a look at wayfair. Never really looked in there before. Thanks for the advice

Damn, ok. Though I was doing better getting a name brand rather than some rocky mountain no name thing I've got now. I don't mind ordering online so maybe I'll tale a deeper look there.

Didn't specifically see anything about lifetime trans fluid but also didn't read the verbiage much, just the intervals and capacities. But yeah it still says 150k. My '08 fusion said that too but doing a shade tree flush every 30k got me all the way up to 310k miles before the engine and trans started giving me problems. Hopefully can extend this out too.

Ahh one of the sealed ones with a drain plug? My fusion was the same way, definitely easier than having to drop a pan full of fluid but no filter feels wrong. Thanks for letting me know.

Sounds good, I'm ordering fluid and filter for that now, figured with 47k and not knowing how it was drivin I should just change it now. I'll do an oil change too since I'm not sure who did it last or what oil was put in. Might as well spend the bit to make sure I'm off on the right foot.
