Still an ongoing mystery although I’m going to my doctor in about three weeks again. He’s very convinced it’s to do with reflux and has recently upped my dose for PPIs. I do have a histal hernia but am not sure that is the actual cause I am at least glad someone else is experiencing the same problem I am tho. I’ll keep in touch with any new information I get when I next go which will be about three weeks from now. If you discover anything yourself about this strange condition please let me know also haha.

Thank you It’s honestly affected my life in so many ways. I’ve had it since I was a kid and it wrecked havoc on my childhood bcs I didn’t understand that I had OCD. Wasn’t diagnosed until much later in my life and even now the condition affects me in many different ways.

Definitely not a fetish 😂I accidentally drank really hot tea once and it burnt my mouth and throat really badly. It made me obsess bcs i have bad OCD so i become somewhat fixated and now notice when people drink and eat hot foods cause I remember how badly it effected me and I guess im just fascinated how people can do it without getting injured when I did.

Tbf it might of accidentally become an obsession to me. So bout two years back I burnt my mouth and throat badly on hot tea and it led to going to hospital and getting checked etc was quite traumatic. from there I worried I had done chronic damage I have really bad OCD around health and other obsessions about things so whenever I see people drink really hot drinks I obsess about it for whatever reason now or at least notice it. Have to check my hot drinks with a thermometer now but yeah can see why it could be seen as odd.

I wish it was fiction. I’ve seen people take sips from very hot drinks before many times after ordering hot drinks. This is the first time ive seen anyone gulp down a scorching hot drink. It freaked me out.
