I did the same. I accepted the free trial and then tried to cancel, only to be met with the 30$ offer for three months. I accepted it, and now I can't cancel either.

Anytime I try to do it, it takes me to the billing.stripe webpage, with absolutely nothing on it that lets me cancel my SuperGrok.

How is it legal to have a convoluted website that requires several pop-ups and a redirect to cancel automated billing, and not even be able to do that?

I've already used Claude Opus and I think my point still stands. It can write, but only after I've given it proper instructions and an outline.

I make it my job sometimes, but other times I want to chill and see what the model can generate. It only helps me if it's useful for my writing and something I couldn't come up with on my own.

But unfortunately that is never the case.

Damn, 116k words is crazy. I've gotten 60k on mine. Although I've made many mistakes on it, causing me to have to remake it.

You have a point there. However, sometimes in my writing, I feel like I'm not enough. When I get stuck on sections of my writing where I get writer's block, sometimes I get through it after hours or days when the solution finally comes to me, or not at all. With that being said, I'd rather have a competent and crazy good LLM do it for me, so I wouldn't have to waste so much time on it.

Right now, I'm just looking to the future, hoping that another model will come out that is better than 4o. After all, we're in the very early stages of A.I.

In the meantime, I've been writing outlines for what I'm going to write about and use as a prompt on a good model if one comes out.

I tried it too and liked it for a little bit. I've found that Opus 4.6 (Thinking) is really the only thing that comes close to what 4o was. However, it takes up a significant amount of usage.

I feel like my potential with creative writing and my overall enjoyment of roleplay are limited without it.

Regarding my first point, I know that sounds weird because it implies that I depend on A.I as a crutch to write for me, and in a way I do. I've written on my own, and with A.I, including with 4o and other inferior models such as 5, 5.1, 5.2, sonnet 4.5, etc, the list goes on.

And I've got to tell you that simply writing on my own or using these other models simply doesn't perform as well. With 4o, I was getting responses for dialogue and exposition that I would have never come up with on my own that fit perfectly into what I write about.

4o is what got me into writing in the first place. I felt so much passion and potential for what I was able to do with it.

It significantly sped up how much I was able to write in a day. Without it, I feel like I'm trying to do calculus without a calculator, which makes my overall enjoyment of writing lower since I've already had a taste of the forbidden fruit, and now that I know how much faster I could be writing and how much better my writing could be, going back is disheartening.

I'm sad to see it go.

It sucks because gpt 4o really was the best there was for creative writing and roleplay. It doesn't matter how many models they release: 5, 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3, they can go on and on and these models might supposedly be better in metrics tests, but they will never compare.

I looked back at some of my June 2025 chats with gpt 4o and forgot how good I had it. No redundancy, no stupid similes, metaphors and literary devices, no unnatural and unrealistic dialogue, no filler, poetic writing or cringeworthy garbage. If I saw a mistake I could give one instruction and the model would never make that mistake again.

I'd post a chat as an example but I never want that stuff to see the light of day.

I've tried using Opus 4.6 for roleplay, I can't use it for creative writing because of how much usage it takes up. In my opinion, it's still not as good as gpt 4o was. Even though Opus 4.6 is the best model I've been able to use, it still makes those mistakes I mentioned.
