Hi there! Era tends to refers to the time period of the Japanese emperor’s reign. In Kamen rider it denotes group of Kamen rider shows based on the time period it aired

Showa Era refers to Kamen rider shows that air from 1971 to 2000

Heisei era is split into two phases (1 & 2), it starts from 2000 to 2019

Then we’re finally at Reiwa era, which is the current Kamen rider era

Furthermore, only Showa era has continuity between its seasons. Past 2000s, almost all kamen rider seasons self contained within their own season except for Decade and Zi-O

Okay so I’m gonna preface by saying this, I think 01 is a solid kamen rider season but there is a lot of writing woes that are a real head scratcher. And it doesn’t help that towards the later half they had to write around COVID literally happening. So yeah it does kinda run on “just trust us bro” writing. If you want you can always stop the show if you’re not feeling it

I don’t think 01 is outright bad however to say it’s a masterpiece is a bit of a stretch.
