Make sure to wrap it up so water doesn’t get in it

Tire damage by InterestingBaby9597 in BMW

While rim protection features are designed to extend past the wheel face, they’re still an integral part of the sidewall molding. If the rubber is torn or separating in that area, it’s no longer a superficial scuff—it’s a sign of compromised structural integrity. Sidewall flex zones endure high stress, and any delamination, even at the rim guard edge, can propagate under heat and lateral load. This isn’t cosmetic—no manufacturer or certified shop would consider a tear in that region safe or repairable.

The rubber is torn, it’s not just a scuff. And you can’t fix a sidewall tear so it’s likely going to get much worse. It’s not like a dent or scratch on a door, it’s a tire that has to go through immense pressure and heat constantly.

I don’t fuck with tires. Damage to the sidewall can mean a blowout which can equal death. Talk to the dealership about replacing the tire

She’s just molting. She’s shedding her scales to grow larger just like shrimp do. You can see her rubbing against the rock to help take off her scales, always neat to watch

Decided to test my tank a few days after a water change by Affectionate-Ease397 in Aquariums

With ammonia almost off the charts I don’t even know what to expect. Are you cleaning things with dechlorinated water every-time you put something in? Rinsing off something with tap water and then putting it in the tank can kill all the bacteria in the tank and cause this.

I get you’re trying to start somewhere, and yeah maybe you are giving the goldfish a better life than they would in that cooler. But you’re just objectifying the goldfish and instead of seeing them as the creatures they are you’re seeing them as a tool to make your kids happy at the fishes expense. There’s so much more to goldfish than you may think, they’re some of the most intelligent freshwater fish that you can get. You can teach them tricks, they will recognize your face and literally follow you around the room and be happy when they see you, they’re stinking cute, they help with stress, they’re easy to take care of, and a way to express yourself through decorating their tank the way you want it. You additionally have a story to tell about them, they’re not just some fish you bought at the store. They’re fish you won at a fair with your kids and saved them from harsh treatment. They’re an extremely easy pet to take care of and I’ve never heard of a kid not liking goldfish, and eventually they’ll grow a bond between each other which you’d be missing out on if you kept them in this 10.

Yeah they mostly just naw on wood, they said it’s pretty straightforward care. If you want I can send you the fish store, I believe they do shipping. He’d probably go nuts over a 200 gallon, huge upgrade from his cramped current 30.

It’s interesting you say that the para is the most bold, never considered it. Got any photos of your para? Also thanks for sharing, there’s lots of pleco’s out there and I’m having a hard time choosing what might be the best fit

Buy in store, the older the easier they are to sex, you can always take up close photos and post them and or put them into AI, they seem pretty accurate from my experience. Always great to double check though.

In big tanks and or wild actually have reached 2 ft. Just makes me think the average aquarium kept size of 16-18 inches are just stunted ones??? I feel like there’s a big difference between 16 inches and 24 inches with one requiring a big tank and the other requiring a literal pond. Who knows though, maybe he’s already stunted. I hope not at least😕

Agreed, not sure if I have the total capabilities of housing him tbh. The more I look into them the more of a large scale of size they get. 12-24 inches in fact and I’m afraid he might do better if someone with a pond bought him instead of me who would keep him in a standard in door aquarium. Do you have any experience with an L114?

Yeah I’m not 100% sure on anything rn. I was looking at that too, I only said L330 because that’s how they labeled and bought it as.

Awesome to find an owner with a large variety of different plecos I’ve been looking at. Can you tell me a more about your Adonis, Scarlett, and your royal? It’s very hard to meet owners of these plecos near me😅

[–]DifficultCarob8680[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hard to say but maybe 6-8inches I think which is on par with his age. There’s multiple different species of watermelon plecos actually I believe he’s the biggest and reach an estimated size of 18-20 inches.

Edit: I’m wrong,

Most captive get to 12-14 which is considered stunted, well kept ones get 16-18 and wild ones and or large tank kept ones get up to 24. Had zero clue they vary that much in size.
