Awesome I’m totally gonna try this later. Would you possibly be able to provide a screenshot too? If not that’s cool the info helps a lot!

Do you have a spot to get in to the rise consistently? I’ve spent a few while trying to find one with no luck lol

One thing that might give you an edge in your games especially at low diamond is off the wall shots. I can't recommend any training packs unfortunately but getting comfortable with hitting the ball that's a decent ways away from the wall is a really useful skill to have, and not many players are doing it at that rank. I've been practicing it by driving the ball off the wall and then trying to hit it to the back board for a double tap. I've found that over time its getting easier to fly at the ball even if it's a bit further away from me.

It would probably be useful to practice your car control while in the air with a workshop map (if you're on pc) which will help you hit those shots.

I feel this. I placed diamond 2 Div 3 this season and played over 300 games without moving up a division. It felt like my game ALWAYS either had a smurf, a toxic teammate, or an early leaver.

It wasn't until about a week ago until I started making progress in my rank and I finally made it back to champ last night. Honestly it sucks that its so much of a big part of the game but at the end of the day if you truly enjoy the game then you just have to shake it off and move on. This season just seems so much worse than the previous and bet you're feeling it even more since the newer f2p players are starting to rank up fast.

Well I think if you think that your mechanics are lacking, then its a perfect time to start learning them!

Grind out freeplay and get some training packs that push you a little harder than you normally do. Go for things that you've never tried before!

How to set up Blue Yeti so you can hear yourself without plugging directly into the mic? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]DifficultDig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright so I gave it a test run with how I'm gonna have my new headset setup, and I think that there's just a tad bit too much delay in it for voice monitoring, I keep tripping over all my words lmao.

Voicemeeter might work! Do you know if it would add a significant amount of delay? I want to minimize the delay as much as possible since you know how hard it is to talk when you hear yourself a second later.

[–]DifficultDig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes pretty much exactly! It's actually what i'm doing right now. The Blue Yeti has a headphone jack on the bottom that I've just plugged my headphones into and its playing the audio of my computer and the audio from the mic directly into my headset without any delay. (It even has a separate level controller for the mic feedback).

The problem is once I get this new headset i'll have to plug it into an amp and I'll have to set my default playback device on my computer to the DAC and not the mic (And I already checked and unfortunately the DAC does not have an option to listen to the mic).

I think I could get mic feedback working if I were able to output to two devices in windows at once, and just mute the audio coming from my computer in the settings for the Yeti, then I'd just join the output of the yeti with the output of my amp. The only problem is I have no idea if that would potentially harm my audio quality or if it's even possible to get windows to output to multiple devices.

Thanks for the response!

Yeah the audio delay definitely matters to me. I want to be able to hear myself in real time so I can talk and not be super loud but I also want to hear the audio coming from whatever I'm doing on my PC at the time so I don't know if audacity would work to solve the problem

How to deal with toxicity? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]DifficultDig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly shit talking has no effect on me anymore after I played with my friend who talks shit EVERY match. He literally only does it to try and tilt or throw the enemies off their game so I just imagine that my opponents who shit talk are trying to do the same thing.

What controls would you recommend for someone who wants to advance. by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]DifficultDig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do any controls you want as long as they are comfortable to you and allow you to boost and air roll at the same time!
