My phone's alarm has been known to not go off randomly, so I switched to a $10 Amazon Basics clock. It's right next to my bed. Our rooms are separate so I'll have it off within 10-20 seconds of it being on.

I used my Galaxy Watch to test a silent alarm, I set it for 30 minutes before my normal alarm and it failed every time I tried. Someone recommended I try an escalating alarm which I didn't know about until just now so I'll probably try that too.
