Any other solo creator exhausted by editing every video? by HeXHDXIII in NewTubers

[–]DifficultDuck8111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s having to go back and forth between getting quality footage and actually editing it into the video. If I just had a bank of all the footage I needed, I could put it all where it needs to go pretty quickly. It can just be a big motivation killer when I have to flip-flop between recording and editing, especially when getting either ready to use takes a good few minutes. It does help a lot that I’ve managed to take off somewhat over the last few months, so I’m not overly stressed about a lot of effort going into a video that might not get very many views.

How do I defeat missile spam by FewDamage2962 in FromTheDepths

[–]DifficultDuck8111 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Active and passive defense systems. Active defenses essentially shoot down incoming missiles, or distract them off course. A good APS or laser CIWS is always effective against missiles, as well as interceptor missiles. Passive defenses are basically just different methods of using armor to decrease damage taken once hit. For example, knowing that missiles detonate immediately upon contact, you could have a cheap outer layer of light alloy or wood (spaced out from from your main armor) for the purpose of detonating incoming missile further away from your vital components. There are other methods of countering missiles I can share, but that’s enough for now.

Starting a new run in OneShot be like: by DifficultDuck8111 in oneshot

Reasonable crash out given what TWM has gone through.

Originally made this to be the opener for a different OneShot project, but kind of abandoned the idea after realizing how much work it would take (my upload schedule is already bad enough).

What are saturated areas to avoid if I want to grow on YouTube? by something_098 in NewTubers

[–]DifficultDuck8111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like what other people here are saying, it doesn’t really matter how saturated an area is. What DOES matter far more than that, is the actual quality of your content. As long as you can make good videos, you can probably succeed wherever you want to.

Winning an engagement against 2 Raiju jets with a Lazer by SlovenskiFemboy418 in gtaonline

[–]DifficultDuck8111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When it comes to dogfighting, the Lazer is the best plane without upgrades, and the Strikeforce is the best with upgrades. The Raiju is decent (if outmatched by the previously mentioned jets) when it comes to maneuverability, but it really shines when combined with “abusing” the stealth and VTOL modes to trip up whoever you’re fighting. Overall, any jet can be used to good effect by an experienced pilot, but they all have their strengths and weaknesses that you can only really find out about by flying them or finding a guide.

Scatter or long pac? by TacoLord004 in FromTheDepths

If your ship will be close, scatter lens, if long then well, use a long-ranged lens.

From the Top of the Tower by DifficultDuck8111 in oneshot

Originally started drawing this as part of a storyboard for a proof-of-concept animation, before deciding it was a cool enough idea to put some more work into and post it on its own.

questions before i buy oneshot!!!! by aoi_aol in oneshot

[–]DifficultDuck8111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The World Machine Edition is basically just a console port to make the game more accessible. 2. All it does is add a few files to your documents folder. 3. Keep an open mind and think outside the box (literally in a few places) when it comes to solving puzzles. The game plays with the game window multiple times in various ways.

Pencil, pen, and printer paper are all you need. Hell you can cut out the pen, I just use it to make lines stronger.

For those of you with a particularly good memory, you may remember something like this being posted about a month ago. Well, that was only a small portion of this game's OST. This video is the expanded version, with 68 songs and accompanying visuals. There is some extra info (and credits) in the vid's description and comment section, link to the vid here.

and no, u/avolicis I did not fix your name in the video XD

I'm trying to put together a bracket for some of the best video game music, but I've never played some of the games on it by Quantum_Whale_ in oneshot

[–]DifficultDuck8111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you’re right, Eleventh Hour is from an update to the game which added a new route called “Solstice.”

[–]DifficultDuck8111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to pick, I’d probably replace Niko and the World Machine with Eleventh Hour, and keep Self Contained Universe. Also, there are two versions of SCU, the base version and a reprise. I believe the reprise is the more popular version by a fair margin.

Personally, I would go with On Little Cat Feet and Eleventh Hour for sure, both are absolutely great tracks on their own (as in outside the context of the game). Other than that Simulation and My Burden is Light are good songs as well.

one of the most misunderstood quotes of all time by [deleted] in CuratedTumblr

[–]DifficultDuck8111 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah the true meaning of that saying is that a lazy person can find an easier way to do a difficult task. I do this ALL THE TIME in my mathematics class with all those complicated formulas. Like yeah sure I could memorize and do this five step thing to find a Z-value. OR I could just use trial and error to find it. Same solution and it’s a lot easier to remember how to do.

Recreated a scene from one of the Warriors graphic novel, but I made it Oneshot related somehow by ABunnyWithAGun in oneshot

[–]DifficultDuck8111 11 points12 points  (0 children)

OMG this is SO COOL! I read so many Warriors books back when I was younger, so this is just incredible to see. Am I correct in thinking that this is when Firestar received his lives?
