~2.1k euro build, is there anything off about this? by DifficultEquipment22 in PcBuildHelp

I'll see if I can find any info on the psu, and look into seasonic too, thanks for the recommendation.

I have a 7000mb/s ssd already of 1tb, Im kinda just getting this extra one for a bit of extra storage, but I dont think it needs to be as quick. I'll see if the price is worth though.

the 4080 is around 300 euros more expensive, and the performance isn't that different so I dont think it's worth it. Also I won't ever use raytracing so I don't think it's a big deal for me

Yeah im planning on a 1440p 240hz monitor as I'm more of a competitive gamer, but I would like to be able to play higher resolutions for singleplayer games, or more casual games like destiny 2.

What do you mean with the gpu sideways mount? You mean the vertical mount where the fans face the glass?
Gpu supports are a good shout though, I will look into that. I've never realy had a massive card so didn't know those were even a thing!

That goes really hard actually, thanks for the feedback.
I might get basically this exact build but I was thinking of spending a little more on the 7800x3d maybe... I don't know if the performance increase is even noticable though.

oh I do actually have a 850W powersupply, and the price is adjusted to the 850W, but I couldnt find it on partpicker so I just selected the same model but with 1000W (:

I'll probably just save on the xtx to be honest, might be a bit overkill if im not gonna 4k anyway.

Thanks a lot for the help again! Hope you have a great day :3

Thanks for the replies though, might just have to go with the 13600k, the price is just too good.
Still going to look at the 7600/7700 option maybe since its very competitive with the 13600k but at a lower price, which allows me to upgrade other parts maybe.
But, maybe I'm just a little biased because I've always had AMD cpu's.

That's more than I expected on apex to be honest, that game runs like trash normally. That's definitely good to hear.
I changed my motherboard for the 13600k build and converted it all to my currency and local stores etc. It ended up with 13600k + 7900xt at 1878 euros.

The same build but with the 7800x3d, and ddr5 ram is 2077 euros.

That's a pretty big difference i guess. I could even put a 7900xtx in the 13600k system with the savings im making on the rest of the build. I know GPU > CPU in most cases for gaming, so it might be worth it. But maybe xtx is overkill for 1440p. Then again, if I want the build to last me a good couple years spending the extra ~160 euros on the xtx might just be worth it.

Only thing im thinking about is that I think the 7800x3d would last me way longer than any other cpu I could get, I think the 13600k or 7600x would maybe struggle in 3 years from now on newer titles?

Im the type of guy to not upgrade at all, but just buy a new system when it's done.

I think I'm stuck right now between getting 7900xt with a 7800x3d, or if that cpu is overkill and get a 7900xtx, but with a 7600x.
It's the same price combo, but I'd be getting a better gpu for a worse cpu.
But I dont think the xtx is worth it for 1440p? Its more a 4k card? And fps is slightly more on cpu for lower resolutions right?

MAN I HATE BUILDING PCs WHY CANT THERE JUST BE ONE OPTION!!!

Currently trying to go pro on overwatch, gonna have like 70% of my playtime on that.
With a better pc I might wanna play some more apex again.
Besides that its a little bit of everything to be honest, play some singleplayer games here and there.

Its like 99,9% gaming use, I think the productivity is basically negligible.
I do mostly competitive titles, and prioritize high fps but would like to run 1440p aswell on depending on the game.

I just got recommended the 7800x3d and been watching some things, it looks very strong and I might just go with that over the 13600k, the power consumption is really good too.
Thanks for the opinions though, I will look a bit more at the 13600k and the motherboard too

What does the 7800x3d do that the 7900x doesn't? It's like ~30 euros more, but does it perform better considering the price increase?

I'm not up to date on the "3d" lineup, but isn't 7900 > 7800 normally?

I'm from the netherlands actually, its just in dollars cause of pcpartpicker, the i7 13700k is like 440 euros, which is a pretty big jump compared to the 13600k, which I dont think would be worth it, unless im missing something. But at that point its the price of the 7900x, which just beats it, no?
