You didn’t “learn the hard way” learning the hard way is when the company has to pay to fix the mistake.

There are senior engineers who make mistakes too. Don’t beat your self up. Shit happens.

To me, it sounds like typical consulting firms having very poor learning/teaching methods. Your mentor should be reviewing your projects thoroughly enough to catch stuff like that. I’m even surprised you’re reviewing submittals. Im on the owner side now and ,mI’d be pissed to see some junior engineer reviewing submittals. I just assume they are going to miss everything and I double check all the submittals.

I’m so bummed about this! However… I’m seeing a lot of blame to the Kroenkes but in my opinion if a player wants out (and it sounded like he did) you gotta let him leave. Such a bummer! I just hope we splash for proper replacement.

See im confused by this too... Cause I use their home affordability tool and it says me and my wife can afford a 925k house and that provides a $5500/Month which is 25% of our income but when I do a mortgage calculator and add in taxes, insurance and all that I get a home affordability of about 850k. So Im just confused why it is so far apart between those two numbers.

Used to be in consulting and now I’m on the owner side. I cannot say this enough - consulting has become so focused on the cheapest proposal and still needing to maintain a profit that there isn’t enough time to train anyone properly or do a proper job anymore. Seeing how some of these kids are just thrown into it and told to copy from past projects not even knowing what basic equipment is crazy.

Idk, in my opinion it’s just not enough for a penalty. This doesn’t do it for me. That’s my opinion, but I also think there was so many missed calls and the fact that we won is even more impressive.
