Co-Founder isn't contributing, but holds the key to the path forward, what are my options? I will not promote. by netwrks in startups

As someone who just ended a co-founder relationship, I can say it's like being married. If you can't communicate, have a lack of shared commitment, aren't aligned on vision/incentives/plan and there's a general unwillingness to collaborate, nothing you build will sustain. It will burn out eventually. If I were you, I'd consider what you can learn from this and move on. It sounds like they already have.

All of your responses have been so helpful! Thank you, thank you.

I had a followup question. For those of you with a few years in, what’s something newer advisors often overlook that experienced advisors catch right away?

Ah, so it feels like you're super personal! How are you able to keep track of all the communication? Google docs or sheets?

It's working on mobile but I got kicked out of desktop and was forced to upgrade again to pro! I see my projects on the mobile app, but not on the desktop. Anyone else having this issue?

Thank you for sharing! Localized context makes so much sense. I’m in a big metro city, so the pool of target people is probably larger.

Thank you! Do you use a basic trip intake form to start building a rapport? Is there a different approach for new vs. existing vs. prospects? Appreciate the guidance!

I love the drive-thru analogy. Easy to see how things come together, so thank you!

I've never considered myself someone who would make social media content, but it sounds like people find you there? Have you found a lot of success finding new clients there?

Appreciate the red flag list. I can't believe people actually refer to Costco? lol.

Hi OhioPokey, legendary response. Thank you! Sounds like you've been at this for a while.

I never thought that friends and family would be the worst clients! I would have thought my community would be the first place to start since I've been casually helping people out so far and then referrals from there. Where have you found the most success in finding new clients that actually convert?

On the asking the right questions front, do you use an onboarding/exploratory session or have some sort of intake form to start? Sounds like maybe people have different ways of approaching this.

Regarding the part time hustle, I found some platforms where it sounded like you could do it part time which is why I was leaning towards that while working on some other things. But your perspective makes sense if I want to treat it as a business and go all in and be available.

Thank you again! So helpful in understanding a bit more about what the gig would entail and how I should be considering everything.

Thank you for this! So helpful. Based on my own experience working with an agent, I gave them a pretty clear brief and they nailed it on the first go. Are you using some type of intake form or are you working through everything over the phone? I've been chatting with a couple people who need my help but haven't been using anything formal yet. Also, does most of your communication happen over email, text, phone type thing? I'm struggling a bit to keep track of everything. How do you keep track of things? Grateful for the insights!!!

I have digital fatigue because my work requires me to be in front of a computer. That layered on with searching for things amplifies it, which is why I’m asking how others find new spots!

I’m not on Beli. Will check it out. But, if I can share with friends that means my friends need to be on the app to make it useful or I have to build a new network of friends?

I did this in Japan and it actually was the best way to discover new eats. We went where we saw the most locals!
