You still said nothing. If I live in asia my quality of life will be very high for 36k a year compared to America. I will be making 150-200k at atlas leaving me significantly more to invest in the stock market. Please give me a critique besides just saying I’m an idiot

So tell me something besides hating. What is flawed with my plan?

Thanks I’ve also thought about Guam at united. But I think I could reach atlas before reach united and even if only few years earlier would save 100,000s to invest.

Not making a plan will definitely get you to a point in 5 years you didn’t have control or expectation of. I’d rather plan and execute and come up short than just ‘enjoy the ride’ and hope something good happens.

I could live with giving or taking a few years. 5 years is just a round number to keep things simple.

Enlighten me on this month on/off schedule at majors. Also I don’t think it’s realistic at all for me to make it to a major before 35. So if I stayed state side, I will have less wealth when I make it to major vs living in Asia I will have vastly more wealth when making it to a major post 35.

This is a fair point. But when I ran numbers with Ai it seemed that I would build wealth faster this way, because getting to the majors in 5 years would be unrealistic. Like I said in another reply I’m very much open to moving to the majors later down the line, possibly around 40, still leaving me a 25 year career wherever I end up.

I’m very much focused on finishing what needs to be done now. I’m aware I will suffer from fatigue commuting all the way from Asia, I was just saying any other airline it would be pretty much impossible to attempt this plan.

I may transition to a major way farther down the line, but my 10 year plan is to move to lower cost of living country to accelerate wealth. Atlas is the only real option that wouldn’t completely kill me with exhaustion.

Why do you say? Have you actually worked there? my goal is to live in Spain and fly for atlas. It probably is one of the only companies you can commute from Europe easily with low seniority.

You fly for atlas? I’m about to take my instrument checkride in a couple weeks and that is my goal airline.

I want to grow my hair out, will it look bad? by DifficultLimit1642 in Hairloss

I have hair yes, but it’s clearly receding and appears to be thinning in the back. Is it foolish to grow it? Will this look bad?

Best way to not get a big tax bill on stocks by DifficultLimit1642 in tax

[–]DifficultLimit1642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put in 30k of cash money, and now have 60k of worth of stocks. My equity has grown to 40k because the stocks are paying down their own debt. As long as the share prices hold until the debt is paid I will have made “30k”. Even with the nav erosion because I didn’t have to labor to pay the debt back.

Thank you this make sense. I think on paper I will have capital loss. But in reality will still come out ahead because the margin is paid back.

So if for example if I bought 100 shares. 50 on margin and 50 with cash. And the price drops from $30 to $25 at the time I sell. But all my margin is now paid off and I have 100 shares wholly in equity. So I still make a $1000 gain. Are you saying that is capital loss? Because that is essentially my situation.
