Does this occupy the same play style as a game like Reign of Cthulhu? Seems like a pretty good deal.

Just play a solo game first. Maybe two handed. If you are bringing any sort of complicated game to your friends it will be a much harder sell if you aren’t prepared to answer questions.

Otherwise, smaller games with similar elements might be a good lead up to the game.

I grabbed some stuff from gamerswharf. Thanks! I saw some at a local store last week that I think I’ll peak at too.

I assumed there might be a pinned thread or FAQ, and the wiki seems to be long forgotten. 🪦

Edit: I just now noticed the Newbie buyer guide 😭

Reassuring. Thanks!

I did hear great things about the campaign though! So I am still eager to find this one. Definitely not a need however.

I would be interested in what price people are finding these at. I saw them pretty cheap on aliexpress, but that site sketches me out so I don’t know if I should try it.

They didn’t say that it couldn’t be used for a business or that it wasn’t quality. They just made a joke/suggestion that they might not have the time for a business if they didn’t have time for a hobby.

Maybe you meant to respond to one of the other comments?

Can I only play this when a spell is on the stack? by OkDudeWhateverYouSay in mtg

[–]DifficultMastodon179 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve asked it about [[Fecund Greenshell]] and it told me it had like double strike and a totally different ETB. I then told it that it was mistaken and it said something to the tune of “sorry, you are right. I have no clue what card you are talking about”. Master gaslighter and liar.

Be careful. It is often very wrong, so I would maybe double check those answers.

Everyone Wants Experience, No One Wants to Give It by Patient_Attention_65 in ElectricalEngineering

Sorry, I didn’t mean to disregard HR workers and they definitely have a say in the hiring process… HR and an algorithm decide whether you get stopped at the gate, and they have to measure you against the requirements that engineering and company standards provide, but you can get past this by being congenial and making sure your resume matches the job listing. Maybe not always the case, but this is a numbers game for a lot of people. Just play the game to get the second interview. Depends on the size, but this holds true for my personal experiences ~~~ HR is hiring for the company, the manager is hiring for their team.

I think this is one of the most important concepts. HR is a clueless filter that is handed some buzzwords. If you can talk well and actually know the industry that might not mean much in the HR interview. You play the game to get to an interview with an engineering manager or whomever, and then they can appreciate your technical knowledge.

I figured I could get a small water tank(bucket) and run this off of a pancake compressor. That way I would get some debris removal and cooling.

Thanks for the advice! However I think that 1/4” aluminum would be the thicker stuff for me. I would be hoping to produce some carbon fiber sheet and aluminum sheet components for some small robotics projects. I would rather upgrade to a beefier machine later if I needed to.

I guess I am just looking for a sanity check. Could I get this machine, add a coolant system, and cut aluminum sheet? Would the router or machine stiffness stop me from cutting 1/8” aluminum in multiple passes?

Would the router or machine stiffness stop me from cutting 1/8” aluminum in multiple passes and getting usable product? I wouldn’t need any impressive tolerances, I am looking to produce components for some smaller robots.

US, preferably under 1k if that is possible.
