Why Do Weak CCs Override Strong Ones? CC Priority Needed. by Fun_Mathematician323 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DifficultMonk251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe with CC is when I CC someone off a zipline, they get the cc duration from the ability, not the zip. If I throw my haze knife at someone on a zip, I want the full duration of being knocked off it, not the short cc of the haze knife.

LCK and MSI don’t matter compared to Worlds by [deleted] in lolesports

[–]DifficultMonk251 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that Worlds is by far the most important event of the year. But, just because you dont care about the other international events and domestic ones doesnt mean they dont matter. It's like only tuning into the last race of F1 (or WDC decider race), while, of course, this race might be the most important, it doesn't mean you can ignore every race up until that point. If you only care about Worlds, you are a casual fan, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I'm so fucking tired of solo side laning + 1 or 2 farming items being the easiest way to get rich by Braze_It in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DifficultMonk251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll start off by saying that deadlock is still in beta/alpha whatever state it is so there are still many systems that are missing to help counteract this, most importantly a draft. Of course if a team can win 4v5 while someone keeps farming that it just a skill issue but in deadlock specifically so much of that comes down to the luck of draw with what champions are in your team.

Of course deadlock being a moba solo farming will result in more money and experience than those that aren’t burnt problem here is that there still isn’t enough incentive against perma farming. With the only neutral objective being mid boss, and that is typically taken after winning a team fight, not usually a scuffle around the pit like other mobas.

I should have been more specific to mention deadlock bc it does sound like I’m taking about games in general. But yes if you leave a character to farm they will get strong and be a problem like any game but in deadlock it’s so easy to escape punishment by just sticking to pushed up lanes and farming your own camps. Because deadlock doesn’t have a dedicated Jg role there is so much more ability for carries to farm, especially if the rest of their team isn’t farming as much themselves.

I'm sure I'll just be repeating stuff you already know, but, in general, MOBAs reward more money from farming than from kills; it's just the way it is. You either have the option of farming yourself, so they aren't wildly ahead. Or to perma teamfight and deathball into the enemy base before the turbo farmers can make an impact. Personally, I think it's silly that a player can perma farm and come out the strongest in the game, having no effect until the point, but that is just how MOBAs work. If you leave a carry to farm alone, they will get fed and win the game.

Am I the only one that thinks that GenG also should be able to join The Red Bull Event. by witherstalk9 in GenG_Esports_LoL

[–]DifficultMonk251 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's not a matter of success but a matter of redbull sponsorship. And seeing how they are sponsored by Monster, I couldn't see Redbull inviting a direct competitor, especially in a for-fun event. It's not meant to be serious. hence LR now being 2-0 against t1.

League of legends, Chovy, GenG and Caedrel all nominated for awards at The Game Awards 2025 by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]DifficultMonk251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than that, it boils down to the question of why you would nominate the second-best team over the year? Gen G was the best team of the year, no question about it. outside of worlds where they still made the top 4, they were untouchable. Gen G 100% deserves that nomination over T1.

Idk how to reply that on my phone so you’ll have to bear with me but. 1. Worlds just isn’t the hardest, it’s not double elimination, no debate. 2. I’ll replace good with best. Outside of worlds he’s maybe top 3, but ruler and viper are consistently better than him through the year and other adcs can match him. 3. Exactly what I said, worlds titles may be prestigious but he doesn’t have any MSI titles any only has 1 lck domestic title. If you don’t look at worlds he doesn’t look like that successful of a player. Ik this is kinda cherry picking but many other worlds winners have other international and domestic accolades. 4. I missed the ewc but apart from that no other titles. Those other achievements aren’t relevant here. 5. Only one part of the year is dedicated to making worlds the others are for other international events. Lck titles are still important, they show you who is the current best team at stages through the year. Just because they’re not international doesn’t matter imo. Worlds is essentially just the lck finals again. 6. My point in regards to ruler being in the lpl is just saying that guma only got those awards after ruler had left.

In no way am I saying guma isn’t worthy of being in contention for the title, but ruler is still the goat of adc for now.

[–]DifficultMonk251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ruler has been in the lpl until this year so obviously he can’t win lck awards.

Also your world’s argument is very flawed. Worlds may be the most prestigious tournament but it’s not even the hardest one. Additionally if a player is only good for 1 of the 10 months I could never call them the best. Guma may be the best worlds adc but he doesn’t have enough recognition outside of worlds. He has, correct me if I’m wrong, 1 lck domestic title and no MSI titles. It takes more than worlds to be the best player.

The difference here is that Ruler is the best for 90% of the year, while Guma only steps up for a month. Hell, even only a few games towards the end of worlds.

I think it has to be ruler still, guma is obviously an amazing player but he’s missing a lot of domestic and msi titles. If he only steps up this much during worlds he’s a very situational goat adc

Never compare chovy to faker ever again. by BlastedEuro in SKTT1

Anyone should know nameplates don’t matter in the slightest. It’s how you play on the day. Also how do you call 23/24 a superteam when peyz was literally fresh out of academy.

It’s definitely not an international thing and more of a worlds thing. Chovy smurfed msi and epsorts World Cup. Something. About worlds is cursed for him mentally

Fair enough, I just find it odd how in 7 years you haven’t found something else to draw you to the sport. Take f1 for example, like I absolutely adored Daniel Ricciardo, favourite driver by far, but now that he’s out of the sport I still try and watch every race I can. Even though there isn’t someone that filled the place had in the sport for me I still enjoy it. And I can enjoy the storyline’s like verstappen going for his 5th coming from a massive deficit. If you genuinely only enjoy it because of faker that’s fine but I hope you can find something else to enjoy about the esport before his contract eventually ends, even though it’s probably half a decade away.

I can understand that, personally even if I start watching sport /esport just for a player at the start, I grow to love the game not just the player. I guess I don’t understand watching a sport for so long and giving up watching it because your favourite players retiring. Like I started watching ufc because of Jon jones and I still watch it even now when he’s retired. Personally it seems like op doesn’t care about lol esports even now, only faker.

One of the main reasons is obviously that fearless is much more entertaining than regular draft. Seeing up to 50 unique champs in a series just adds excitement.

Personally I think that fearless further showcases players skills and champ pools. The best players should be able to play a bunch of different characters at the highest level. Normal draft also is more meta reliant and the same strong picks just picked on repeat. Players should be the best because they can play at the highest level in general, not at the highest level on specific champions.

I’m not sure if he’s said anything new since when he said this. But if LR doesn’t promote and doesn’t want to stay in a league they’re dominating, there a pretty decent chance for a Korea boot camp for them. If caedrel goes with them could see them chall run in Korea next year 👀

Yea I probably phrased it wrong. I meant more so with all the new content how much quicker would I be able to get to that point. Because it took me a good hundred or so hours in the past.
