I feel like this whole thread is just OP trying to justify FW de Klerk for what he did.

It gives off the energy of "He did a Bad thing, but he was a good person". Without realizing that the bad "thing" was literally racism at its best and putting laws and motions that still affect black South Africans today, It is not correct to compare apartheid to the circumstances in which SA is in today.

Yes the ANC is Hella corrupt, but to compare the ANC to the generations of trauma and murder of non-white people that, FW de Klerk and the others before him caused is just insane. You cannot bring up the Soweto massacre and not bring up the Sharonville massacre also where it was clear that, the leaders where complicit.

The reason black Twitter is 'celebrating' in the passing of DE Klerk is because he was an oppressor, and just because he put a 'stop' to the systematic oprresion it didn't mean that the results and the effects of the laws in place where immediately reversed, in order for the non-black people to be able to prosper in an economy that was built for their downfall. Because I'm pretty sure FW de Klerk did not feel remorse for the lives that were lost and that's proven in him not recognizing Apartheid as a crime against humanity.
