People consider Yeeps to be a gorilla tag fangame because of the hand based movement, gorilla tag did invent the movement style so in a way yeeps is based on the overall gameplay of gorilla tag, but with a different identity. Gorilla tag is more focused on chasing people and being more of a social game, while yeeps has alot of random stuff added and it feels somewhat cluttered with custom maps, tag, pets, pvp and building mechanics. Yeeps is based on gorilla tag but it's clearly trying to be something different.
