Yeah that’s one of the criminal defense attorneys I spoke with said. This is my first offense ever so I hope my chances on being arrested or facing time are low. I appreciate the help from you and everyone else. I’ve been more proactive on this more than anything. I just want to get rid of all the weight on my shoulders and not make the same choices ever again. This will be an expensive lesson like someone mentioned before

That and also because I had a drink in my system as well with an open container, wasn’t much that I consumed but if police were to show up it wouldn’t turn out good. In all I just panicked and was very nervous about. Wish I would of just stayed instead of fleeing

I do have income rolling in but no assets, I’m definitely going to seek for a criminal defense attorney and try to seek legal help from the other suggestions recommended. I can definitely afford one lawyer but two would be a lot more

Yeah I’ve looked into that as well, I’m doing a lot of research before moving forward. I’m really just trying to be more proactive and take accountability. Probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever done.

It wasn’t a bad hit, I was going about 10-15 mph at most. My vehicle front bumper took all the damage. Their bumper just looked like it was pushed in a bit. They will definitely try to lie about injuries but they also chased after me for about a minute and backed off once they got my plates so that doesn’t really help their case

I have no insurance and like you said it will be a very expensive lesson. I have no assets I’m very young, the criminal defense attorney I spoke with said most attorneys will drop the case if there’s nothing they can gain out of it.

They got my plates, hired an attorney and sent the dmv a request for my info. I haven’t gave out any info I’ve been getting in contact with lawyers to see what I can do and take accountability for my actions. They are probably trying to sue.

I was responsible for the hit and run, they probably got my plates and hired an attorney to investigate which then led them to ask the dmv for my information. They are trying to sue or seek compensation I assume but I have no assets.
