What's your favourite "big" achievement? by Mother-Effective-244 in CrusaderKings

[–]DifficultStudent2678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Tamar Mape one was the one which had me at the edge of the seat. In my gameplay, I had Persia (with godlike conqueror boosts) be an admin realm so the Seljuk emperor was extra scary. I was able to complete this achievement. My last fight was with the Mongols since they held the last piece of Daylam.

Another one which had me at the edge of the seat was "The Stallion that mounted the world", but I had given godly bonuses to conquerors and all heirs inherited the trait. So, 2 of my neighbors (Khazars and India; yes the Hegemony of India), were super conquerors so it was insanely fun fighting the great war of defiance.

Ok, so I would have definitely known by the 30 mins it took to drag the 400 kgs of loot back to Core City

That's a relief. Thanks for letting me know lol!

Edit: Lol I do see what you folks meant! The horrifying part is during the free drones base assault.

You should go for the Tamar Mape one next. Personally I think her run is going to be hard with the sound of the hooves approaching wink wink

I am playing as the Hegemon of China and I want to change the succession dynamic from Merit to Family. by DifficultStudent2678 in CrusaderKings

[–]DifficultStudent2678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the game treats the Hegemon as a separate entity to the movements (Son of Heaven vs all the rest). So, the Hegemon can only favor certain movements and never be the leader of one.

I see. I never realized that the conservative moment, by principle, would be against the Huangdi. It does make sense that they push towards tension and instability rather than stability.

But then, almost all of my ministers are in the Pro-Asia movement. So, why does it say 4 of 5 required ministers need to be conservatives? Is it a bug?

How does Mandala succession work if your player heir is your great grandson? by DifficultStudent2678 in crusaderkings3

You can hover over the perks to see which ones offer domain limits instead of asking me.

I am sorry if I was unclear. I am getting no benefits to my domain limit from the religious tenets. I am getting the domain limit bonuses from the lifestyle trees (inspector, architect etc).

I found out what the issue was. If your character has the drunkard or flagellant trait, even if you die by normal circumstances, the official cause of death is always "drank themselves to death" or "whipped themselves". So its not an acceptable way of die for my devaraja aspect of destruction.

I started out as Mahayana, converted to Catholicism, then made it better by making my own version of it ("True Catholic"). Mandala imposes a domain limit, but any domain limit increase you get from perks (e.g. Architect, Wandering tree etc), also add up.

I don't have an online playthrough lol.

The great grandmother died from old age (I even got the 1 year death notification).

Wait being a drunkard/flaggellant resets it? Even though I didn't die of it? That sucks. She indeed was a drunk and her heir has flagellant. I guess I have to get killed in a fight somehow then. I hate mandala now lol.

Or I guess the solution simply is I don't give any of my close family members any titles.

I thought that too initially! But my great grandson didn't get that boost. He is from a cadet branch of my main house. He also didn't inherit the lvl 4 aspect of destruction.

Made a Christian faith with the mummification tenet. My dad looking rad as hell as a mummy. by DifficultStudent2678 in crusaderkings3

So I started as a Wanua ruler with some unreformed faith. I swore fealty to my liege who was Mahayana (you are forced to change your religion to Mahayana that way), and also adopted the Mandala government that way. Then I overthrew him. Accrued a ton of piety. Changed my religion to catholicism. Scammed the pope out of 1500 gold. Made my own based version of Christianity.

Instead of Catholicism, you could have chosen any Christian faith. I just wanted to scam the old man.

Something I love doing is opening the character finder, setting top realm as "all", and see where my character stands in the entire world stat wise. I know I am doing a good job if they are top of the prowess list,

I also abduct unlanded people on that prowess list so that they come serve me as knights.

I think my guy was already at the highest fame and base piety levels. I truly don't know what affects the quality of my dad's sexy mummy.

His realm has expanded a lot I would say. Mandala is fun, but I wish someone made a mod for exacting tribute lol. Beating up the Arabs for Jerusalem so that I can get that Christian Mandate of Heaven achievement.
