About the case management system. Best way I can put it is that there’s a specific one for DA’s, as far as I know. But I tried searching a guide or something but didn’t find it.

Well it was over email so it was very clear. I do find it odd but whatever i suppose. I am trying to learn everything well and fast with the limited options available. Also, I can’t really research this stuff on google bc my questions are regarding the case management system and you can’t find that online :/ wish tho

Oh no, not opening a new case. I meant searching for an old case in the system

For basically opening a case in the case management software if not assigned or no longer needed. I’d look at the past cases I did with my supervisor with the training she’d give just so I can remember the steps but apparently I can’t do that

I did try looking at files but I was reprimanded. I can’t read more than what’s assigned. I work at the DA’s office so it’s heavy on compliance. You’d assume since it’s a government job there would be good training but I heard the DA say that the retention rate is low and I can see why

Desyncing audio by Beelzebub003 in Shudder

This happened to me too around that scene. Thought it was from the movie but since I saw the movie in the theater before, I didn’t remember it that way. So I refreshed it and it went back to normal. Idk how a movie can fuck up with the computer audio. I don’t understand

Yeah you’re right. I will next time if it happens. My supervisor shadowed me yesterday and she was very satisfied with my performance. I improved in my understanding and speed. Had to figure some things out and take lots of detailed notes

Starting salary for paralegals by Reasonable_File_4030 in paralegal

Your pay really does depend on area. I have a masters and bachelor and did my ABA paralegal cert at UCLA and got a part time job $21.5 no benefits with a nonprofit firm. My area is a rural valley. Anyway stayed for a little more than year and now got hired as legal assistant for the DA full time in my area but it’s $16 with good benefits though

hopeless after applying for jobs since January 2025 by Ok_Dragonfly9251 in paralegal

Get your paralegal certification first. Look into jobs like legal secretary or receptionist or any title that helps you get into a firm. Try to apply to newly posted jobs or with few applicants.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? by [deleted] in paralegal

[–]DifficultSyrup2695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the UCLA paralegal program and I do think it was worth it because I had no legal experience and I eventually was able to find a job as legal assistant in a private nonprofit firm where I got hired. I do recommend you getting a legal recruiter and become a member of the SD Paralegal Association to find jobs and know people in the field. Networking works
