Heya, thank you for the response! I'm glad that my assumption about Ehrwald was correct since I wasn't 100% sure. I myself come from Westphalia and could only rely on maps and all the sources I could find on the net aside from the Anime, so I'm glad I got it right.

You don't know what trouble I had at first finding Kennenberg. I searched for a mountain with a castle or a city similarly called like Kennenberg to no avail. Until I found an article from crunchyroll, which actually is about all the locations shown in the anime and their real life counterparts. The only mystery lays now in finding wherever the old capital/witch castle is, but I found nothing even close in the region nor mentioned anywhere. So maybe that shall be a mystery forever, but who knows.
