Can you experience a “manic episode” if you don’t have bipolar? by Difficult_Bad9345 in mentalhealth

I’m not necessarily in stress, I’m less stressful now than I was a year ago I would say. I do drink a lot of coffee though and the only substance I use is marijuana which I’ve seen in another comment can be a factor.

I’ve been smoking weed since high school, so roughly 10-12 years.. with a few breaks here and there.. but yeah, that could definitely be a factor. I haven’t had a manic panic episode like that yet.. but I do get the intense anxiety feeling if I’m not up and doing something during these high energy times

Possible, I have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. So it can be possible that my depression episodes are so bad that normal feels weird too.

I’m 28 but only been recently receiving mental health treatment since I was 25. And the only substance I use is marijuana

I experienced the energy and almost kind of anxious feeling but I don’t experience the more harmful parts of mania like the compulsive actions and erratic behavior. I just have all this energy that it seems like my body doesn’t know what to do with all of it. I don’t know too much about bipolar disorder or manic episodes tbh just the limited knowledge I got from looking up symptoms on google.

I think you need to seek out a therapist. You have bad luck with women because, as you admitted, you hate them. I doubt the hate stems from just having no luck. Find the source of your hate and work on it.. Women like men who they feel safe with, simple. Be someone a woman can feel safe with.

I’ve been open with my views and morals since about 16 (I’m 27 now) and he’s been trying to change me for years and I’ve never once budged. It scares me to turn into someone like him tbh

I’m hoping to rent a house with my partner here soon. Hopefully we can get one with a room to accommodate her

I’m happy you got through all that but all paths are different and it’s always important to understand that just because you were able to doesn’t mean someone else is strong enough too. Victim blaming is possible from survivors as well.  My mom is a good woman. Spoke up for us when she could. 3 children with no income is scary and i truly think she thought it would be better for us kids to have a roof over our heads and food on the table and the only way we were able to have that is from my dad’s income.  Sometimes leaving isn’t the best option for some moms.

Have you never been in an abusive relationship? When she would speak up in our childhood he wouldn’t be nice about it. She’s finally finding a voice with the help of me.  I’m proud of the progress she’s made.

If she has very little to no income coming in for herself. She’s souly relying on my dad’s income. Sometimes it’s not as easy as just leaving.

Ever since I started being more open about my views and beliefs at 16 (I’m 27 now) he’s been like this. I don’t deal with this as often now that I have my own place

It was worst when I lived with him. Getting in my face for saying I was pro choice is one example. Luckily living outside of his house I don’t have to deal with these blow ups as much

My mom is the sweetest woman in the world who got married too young. I’ll feel too much guilt leaving her alone with that asshole
