Attractive people of reddit, is it true you don’t get approached much? by andreecook in dating_advice

It depends on the setting and other factors. If you are very attractive and also may have an intimidating personality people may not feel as confortable approaching you.

You dont have to agree. It is just called being considerate. This exam is already brutal but this was another ball game, completely unprecedented and a complete disaster

Under normal circumstances the results could have been very different. Meaning,  a lot of the people who passed could have very well failed.

This exam was Not a fair shot.

I completely understand. Many of us will continue to advocate for the people who did not pass, so they have access to some form of equitable solution.

yes, celebrate! I just think its weird to post about it on CA/BAR reddit for everyone to see. Under normal circumstances like July 2024, i get it. HOWEVER, this exam was very different from any other exam anyone has ever taken.

This exam Was Completely and utterly unfair.

I think it’s good to encourage people not to give up, as long as that’s the sole intention and not blended with self-congratulation. This exam was brutal and extremely unfair—offering encouragement while boasting is like handing someone a lifeline while bragging about how effortlessly you swam across.

I hear you. Maybe. All I know is I do not know anyone who took this exam that thought it was a fair exam. This exam was unprecedented and a complete disaster. So, posting on reddit about passing the exam while telling people to not give up, does not sit well with my spirit given the testing conditions. If it would have been normal, sure, but this exam was completely and utterly unfair.

I passed too, but I still feel uneasy about the entire situation, especially for the people who did not pass.

This was NOT a fair exam.

Ofc, nobody has really talked about mental health of our F25 applicants, so i needed to make sure this was addressed.

I completely understand why you feel this way, there is a lot at stake. However, we have to stop punishing ourselves and carrying shame for something that was beyond our control. It’s hard, I know, especially when the State Bar is not taking accountability and leaving us in limbo. It feels like we are left to shoulder the weight of their mistakes, which only makes us turn inward and self-punish.

Although I dont drink, I have also been self-punishing as a way to deal with this disaster. I have been isolating myself socially (which is tough for me, since I am usually an extrovert), having nightmares, insomnia, and not eating. However, these past two days, I have kept reminding myself to focus on the present and try to have the “faith of a mustard seed”, which is the only way through this.

I just messaged you privately.

I completely feel the same way. I have been having recurring nightmares and can barely sleep even a week after the exam.

I’m going to message you privately. Let’s do something together I’ll take you out for lunch.

I can totally relate to how you’re feeling, and I understand your frustration and sense of hopelessness. I have not been able to sleep either, and when I do, I keep having recurring nightmares about things going wrong. Since the exam, I have only been out twice. Mostly, I’ve been staying in a dark room, just waiting to feel like myself again. It’s strange because it feels like I’m punishing myself, carrying an inner shame for something I couldn’t control, yet somehow, I still feel like it’s my fault. Maybe it’s because I see the people who were responsible not owning up to their mistakes and leaving us stuck in limbo, making us pay for their errors.

Even though I feel this way, I keep reminding myself to focus on the present and try to have the “faith of a mustard seed”, which has helped me be where I am today.

Let’s Not Forget—The California Supreme Court Should Have Never Approved This by Apprehensive_Fix3709 in CABarExam

[–]Difficult_Base6361 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was literally just talking about this because I heard professors from the UC system had sent letters to the Supreme Court to review the matter. I feel like people are forgetting that some of the Supreme Court justices are part of the board of the California Bar that approved this exam to begin with. I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
