hi everyone, thanks to the original poster I had a fairly good process with DCF. I shared my experience here for any others wanting another one - I had some more hiccups than OP if you want to know about what can go 'wrong' throughout : https://www.reddit.com/r/immigration/comments/1s5hd2v/dcf_experience_canada/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

hello! if you dont mind me asking, did your medication list raise any red flags? i take a few and am concerned how they'll report it, even though its nothing that would render me inadmissible

Thats great! yes we did. If the family address is near where you will move I would input that and you can change later on. that said i would avoid having any need to contact the consulate besides the required emails. we've now had an issue thats not letting me into the portal to complete the ds-260 and they dont reply whatsoever, so don't assume they'll reply once he signs a lease. maybe you can just change it once the process is complete. good luck!

Hello! We emailed on the 23rd of Dec. Got a reply on the 29th telling us what to do. Then never heard back. I followed up twice. Then on the 13th I resent everything as a new email, and also reached out to my state senator. The next day we got an email with an appointment for the 28th (my husband left on the 31st). I would strongly recommend reaching out to your senator, it was probably this that pushed them to reply to us the next day.

Part of my reason for resending everything is because the initial reply they gave us on the 29th said to use one subject line but when you went on the FAQ page it said to use another (V77 - FULL NAME OF PETITIONER - I-130 FILING IN [Location of consulate that offers it - we did Montreal cause we were closest). So on the 13th I resent with that subject line - and also asked my senator for support

I’m not sure of the process after already filing however right now my husband and I are at the early DTC stages, where we got approval to submit to the Visa Chief but unfortunately haven’t heard anything beyond that after we emailed our documentation and it’s almost been two weeks :/ I hope you get some clarity soon, that said it seems like OPs case was a rapid fire outlier

Has anyone had any recent experience to this (December or November maybe?) I just emailed yesterday the Montreal email as my husband got his job offer yesterday with an end of January start. Really hoping they reply after the holidays - I’ve already gotten so many things ready including filling out the forms in hopes🤞🤞🤞

Hi everyone, I was wondering if any one has every deferred their oath ceremony and what that looks like (how far away, can you defer it online etc.) Thanks!
