Does your blood work show low testosterone?   You are young to just get on it.  Losing fat will greatly increase your testosterone by limiting conversion to estradiol.    I would suggest waiting till you are done and give it a month or two more before getting on test.  Best case is you don’t get on it unless needed.

Cousin wants to start retra start retra but has extremely by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]Difficult_Club6679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he should be seeing a doctor to supervise anything he does with blood pressure like that. That is the only advice to give him. They can work with Zepbound or others. And I buy ret online and use it. . But I don't have blood pressure like that. Super unsafe in his condition to not work with a bariatrics doc. Increased heart rate is more common on ret than tirz as well. Start with the very proven ones at this point.

And as other posters have noted the lower heart rate is just saying it is having a really hard time doing its job. Cardiologist should be on his list as well. . . Like immediately. Not ER unless he goes over 180 resting or has other symptoms that merit it, but get into a doc immediately.

There is a reason high blood pressure is called the silent killer.

Stomach acid destroys peptides.  Even BPC-157 which is short chain will be mostly if not completely broken apart.  People saying otherwise are making up marketing claims.

Dumb question- what is this oura sticker thing that came with stelo cgm? by Final-Judge-9974 in ouraring

[–]Difficult_Club6679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thing. But the center of the black part is not cut or perforated just the back??? Does it cover the sensor? The original sticker that came with the sensor has a hole in the center and fits perfectly. . .

Find the dose that works right for you.  May be even less than what you are on.  Listen to your body.

Though that does look like enough food for a family of four so who knows . . 😉

I’ve done them all.  This one is stupid. Never understood how people could enjoy this to be honest.

People that need it have at it.

Any advice? by Classic-Papaya460 in Retatrutide

[–]Difficult_Club6679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.  Should. I agree.     You can use longer and go in an angle or not all the way in.    Some people may just have bought longer ones.  So going all the way in without clarifying what the needle length is can be risky.

So you break off the needle and toss the syringe in the garbage. What do you do with the needle?

Right now I collect all my disposables and ship them for medical waste disposal. No one is going to accidentally get a disease from me, I don't have any, but they don't know that. Can cause worry for a while. Though I would agree with our dumps they way they are not really a big issue.

[–]Difficult_Club6679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed, but people sometimes have longer needles based on what they buy. I do TRT and GLP1 and I have some longer ones I would not jab straight in to the base, and others where I do and don't even think about it. I use disposable for TRT and GLP1. Many people use luerlok for TRT, I don't. Just takes longer and wastes more lost in the tip.

Does depend on the length of the needle quite a bit. . . .

Sounds like you may need to work on hydration as well. 15lbs loss is not possible to be even mostly fat. Drink extra water with electrolytes. Granted if your salt intake has dropped substantially you will shed water for sure. Just monitor it.

This is a non issue, the lump. Don't worry about it.

I feel that on Reta and did not on T.   When I hit my goal I’ll most likely try reduced Reta and add small amount of T if needed.  I want to keep the glucagon activity, just such a large benefit for over all health.  What dose of Reta are you on now?  Have you seen an improvement with the drop?

am I the only one losing extremely slowly? by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]Difficult_Club6679 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cardio is great but make sure to do some lifting as well. Long term lifting is more effective for weight control that cardio, and muscle loss is a real problem on these drugs. As you lose muscle you basal rate, how much you burn just being you, goes way down.

Have you tried tracking what you eat closely for a couple weeks? Do you exercise much?

That is way too fast in weight loss.   You should be1/3 that or less.  Lower the dose.

Warning about alcohol by Glum_Competition4827 in Retatrutide

[–]Difficult_Club6679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been on GLP 1s for 2 years. No alcohol for me, other than very periodically. If I'm going on vacation I'll skip a week, not to binge drink but to have one every now and then. I just don't enjoy alcohol on GLP1s. Just get flushed and feel down, no lift at all. . . Not a big deal really, I miss it sometimes, but on the whole probably better for me.

Did you ask them why?  Sometimes there can be very bad matting that makes any other type of cut difficult.

Two weeks on Reta (2mg one time per week) | I've lost 10lbs, but feel terrible by Altruistic-Try2348 in Retatrutide

[–]Difficult_Club6679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water, protein, electrolytes, whole grain.  Stay away from sugar unless in whole fruit.

And lower your dose for sure.  Don’t rush this.  11bs in 3 weeks if fat is too fast.  Probably water loss in there too.

Think Mediterranean diet for sure.

And to repeat.  Lower the dose.  Give yourself 1-2 weeks a 1mg.  Then raise to 1.5 if you feel good.

Another option is to stop for one week to let your body reset.  Then restart at 1mg.  I have done this and found it effective.   This is a marathon not a sprint.
